Would love to have seen Jason Scotland come off the bench last night. I was a big fan of Scotland's, purely because you can see he still has the ability, if not quite the fitness level, to get the goals required to stay in this division. He's got that ability to create a chance for himself which sadly is something O'Grady lacks from his game. That isn't a dig at O'Grady by any means, just more of a praise of Jason's natural ability.
I'm not sure if Jason still had the legs to do the role but a natural finisher in that mould is exactly what we need playing off O'Grady. I still think Pederson can play that role but he can't stay fit & Wilson isn't keen on gambling on Rose. I RNL's probably our best bet given the players available to Wilson.
I agree to some extent, but the real problem is that he fetched nobody in any where near as good as what he shipped out. Both Danny Wilson and Flitcroft failed miserably in the market. We now have a team of the original lads giving it a go but held back by such as Woods Frimpong etc. Our formation is stopping goals but if we do not attack well then how can we win. Who is guiding O Grady, and why is he always on the wing. Surely Danny has sanctioned it and if so why.
He only started a handful of games rest were bits and pieces, but I and others had him down as MoM against Reading I think it was and not long after he was dropped to make way for Pederson. I thought we did right to let him go because as others have said his legs weren`t up to 90 minutes and we have plenty of them sort already.
