At least with McCourt playing we may stand a chance of creating something. The problem is Danny Boy is quite happy to tootle along with this ineffectual bunch game after game.
We are limited with our options but Danny seems happy to take us down without changing tact.
Big clearout needed and I include The Manager and Owner in that .

Agree, Wilson is part of the problem.

We looked much more dangerous when he was on. Needs to start in place of Cywka next week.

Can't comment on today but really he needed to be selected around 10 games ago when he may have made a difference.
He also may not have but not selecting our most creative player, when we obviously have have problems scoring, is a shocking error of judgement from Wilson.

We looked ever more dangerous when he came on. Mainly in keeping our conter attacking moves at a good pace and threading nice balls through to O'Grady and the wingers.
He gets a lot of stick for his lack of effort, but what the hell did Cwyka offer today? Or what did Woods AND Mellis offer on Tuesday? Or Prostwiczh against Brighton?
McCourt offered nothing against Middlesbrough until he worked his magic all of a sudden, and thats the beauty with him, can create something from nothing.

Yawn. And what position were we in when Flitcroft used this master tactic?

Not in the desperate position that we are now.
We have to try alternatives not stick with the same failed selections as we seem to be doing.

I think you'll find we are in exactly the same position although in terms of points we were worse off. I like Paddy myself and he would be in my team most weeks but we were no better with him than without.

I respect your view but your comment is flawed due to the fact that his selection has been so infrequent that we are really unable to say whether the team would have benefited or not.
What I can comment on is that when I have seen him play he has weaknesses but by God the Guy has talent and talent is maybe one of the ingredients that could have got us out of this mess.
I fear it is too late now but hey lets select him at Charlton and go at them with all guns blazing.

In terms of Paddy he has given me sone of the very few moments of enjoyment I've had this season at the same time given we lack a quality defensive midfielder to do the 'hod carrying' I understand why Danny has been reluctant to use him. Given the direness of our situation I guess I'd look to the future and play RNL myself but I take the point we need to go for it.

Around 3 weeks ago we won 3-1 at Reading & 4-1 at Yeovil. Paddy wasn't involved in either. Tell me how many times we scored 3 or 4 in a game when he was playing week in week out? We didn't. We were in the bottom 3 & just as poor if not worse than we are now.

Fair enough if you think the team was better with Paddy in it but our points, goals scored & goals conceded would suggest otherwise.

He's just another poor player in a long list of poor players at the club.
