Your the first person I've seen say they are going on the coach, I was starting to think someone had played a horrible joke on me.

What do they actually do to stop alcohol from getting on the coach like?

    Smell all drinks?

Trying to find a reasonably priced hotel in the vicinity so I can drive down and have a few shandy's...they sure know how to fleece the tourists round those parts. ~£100 for just me seems a bit on the harsh side. I've had four nights in Magaluf including flights for around that before!

Well you are taking a big risk and not just for yourself .you and the bus company could be fined and the bus turned round without reaching destination and I would imagine there'd be a few disgruntled fans to explain your actions

Honestly they would never do that, coppers once got on a outpost bus at Leicester services on our way to Watford as we had a flag up in the window and they thought we were EDL.

Riot and Dog vans galore everyone panicked, coppers got on bus walked down, baring in mind in stunk of beer and just asked where we were going and to enjoy the day.

Btw I'm not planning on taking any beer down as the club will be funny about it and it would be frowned upon by fans on the coach, but really no one will ever notice a bottle of vodka coke...

I'm not sure, never been on the official coaches before. I guess they just make sure you don't have any cans/bottles, as in a quick look. I can't see it being that hard to get a couple on if they're at the bottom of a bag. You get there 2 hours before kickoff anyway, that's plenty of time for a few drinks!

I always thought it was illegal to have booze on any coach, but apparently its only illegal if the coach is on its way to a sporting event

M1 is a nightmare at the minute with all the lane closures and 50mph sections which seem to go on forever. But the A1 is a pain as well as it can be flowing nicely then all of a sudden it can grind to a halt for no apparent reason - a lot of the time it's because some of the slip roads off aren't long enough so you basically end up in a queue for a roundabout off the A1 that you aren't even going round.

A1 was dreadful last nigt, was drifting in and out of sleep but we seemed to be following diversions all way home.

Also why do the club use a Mansfield based coach company?
