    .... so the powers that be drain the reservoir of its 38 million+ gallons of water. 6 days to drain it. £2k cost.

    What I find interesting about this story is that birds and animals regularly **** and **** into that very same reservoir and they do nothing about it but a human does it and the whole thing needs draining

    The other interesting thing is that somebody else did the same thing in the same city a few years ago and they had to drain then too

    Water is piss. Every single molecule in the whole reservoir has been through an animal at some point in time and been excreted as piss. A certain percentage in that res is Hitler's piss. Almost 100% of it is fish piss. Very close to that is human piss. Water is recycled. It evaporates from the sea, condenses as clouds, falls as rain, is drunk by animals, excreted as piss, makes its way to the sea and evaporates all over again. And so it goes. For billions of years.
