.......? He's the son of kak, the grandson of shiite, and the legendary anti-hero of planet garbage. He also has a turning circle worse than the Titanic.

So, why does he get on the pitch? (and please don't say it's because he runs around and tries hard because I'd be able to do that - well for a few minutes..)

He runs around a lot and that's enough apparently.

Don't be criticising Captain Dogger. Since he told the fans to **** of he's become Neil Redfearn. Since his arrest he's the best thing since Makelele. His popularity is off the chart. What a shame.

I don't think anybody has said that, I think people have stuck up for him amidst your rediculous and incessant victimisation. Nobody on here thinks he's the best player since Redfearn but I reckon we've a few that are worse than him that dont get the Troutman treatment.

Again, I think the general populous think they'd rather have him there than mellis for example, we know he isnt a better player than him, but with the effort he puts in compared to him then he becomes far more effective.

You seem to be creating silly arguments and stating things that have not been said to win your arguments; arguments you are having with yourself most of the time.

Normally, I leave you to it, but I'm that way out this morning. I'm going to be dragged round an Easter Egg hunt in the not too distant future.

Exactly this. Apart from the Easter Egg hunt. Thankfully I'll not be doing that.

Victimisation? Behave. I just find it depressing that one of the least talented players to ever wear the red shirt at this level is receiving such undeserved praise. The arguments that people use to defend him are just laughable. Effort does not necessarily result in effectiveness and there is no better example of that than Stephen Dawson. Awful, awful player and if he is going to lead us back to the Championship next season well that's something I really can't bear to contemplate at the moment.

Sorry mate, but when you personally start thread after thread about one person and refer to him as Captain Dogger, then yes it is vitimisation. I can't find any threads today or yesterday, by you, that included Dale Jennings, Paddy McCourt or Chris O'Grady who for what its worth were worse than Dawson yesterday.

Look yesterday was a horror show, they all were cack, so I don't see the need to single out one player, the one player you single out each day. We know you don't like him, I've got it etched in my brain. Again, I dont mind you talking about specific things in the game that you didnt like, even about Dawson, but you don't, you just churn out the same ***** each time. It is victimisation and its tedious, I would hope you would be able to rise above it, because generally I find you quite an intelligent poster in the main, away from this subject.

Yeah let's fill the team with players like Mellis and head directly for the unibond league. Great idea.

He brings the worst out in me I'm afraid. Maybe it is tedious. It's just that the shocking lack of talent he has annoys me and I just can't believe that not only does he keep getting selected, but people actually rate him. For me he is a big reason why we are where are. A central midfielder who offers nothing but an engine will severely limit a club at this level.

The other players you were mention were very poor particularly Jennings but he has done quite well of late. I'm certainly not going to criticise O'Grady who, for me, has been the player of the season and has been let down by his manager of late.

Where do you think Dawson is taking us then?

I think you've got a mental block with the bloke - just like me but from the opposite angle :)

I honestly think he is worthy of his place in the team and is a worthy captain. I don't think its a mental block I just see the positives in having him in the team.

Dawson has limitations as we are constantly reminded of but the guy always gives his all.
Regardless of the talent any player has all I ask is that they give 100%
    IMO Dawson always has.

Exactly how I see it. Every team needs a player like Dawson, all successful teams have unsung heroes like Dawson and I'd pick him ahead of the 'talented' Mellis every day of the week.

I really thought Mellis would kick on and progress this season but has been a Major disappointment.
Without Heart and Passion he will never reach the potential he once showed.

I thought you'd banned yourself on this subject until the end of the season?

I tried but I was upset yesterday and found his performance quite infuriating.
