I am more looking forward to next season in league 1 than another **** season fighting for our championship status Some great away days next season Roll on August
I'd rather us stay up but if we go down so be it, we'll just get on with it. ST already renewed, just another season watching the super reds.
In a ideal world I like us to be in top two all season until last game finish 3rd win play off semi 10-0 on aggregate and lose 0-1 in final having been best team for 90 minutes, and I'd take something like that for 8 years over what we've just had for last 8 all day long
Me too mate , might not go to plan but beats going into every game hoping we can scrape a draw Cant wait for the season to end
This thread is everything that is wrong with football supporters. You would rather barnsley go down than stay up? Also uf we went down it will hit us so hard. Last time we were down there we were scrapping for survival. I would rather be in the championshiop and being the underdog then being in that micky mouse league any day of the year. No, you are what's wrong. Not every team can be in the Premiership, and not every team can be in the Championship. As a supporter you hope for the best, but have to settle for what there is and make the best of it. For us it looks like a season(s) in League 1. And one of the reasons we had problems when we went down last time was Administration and the problems that left us with. According to Ben we are financially secure, so we should be able to hold our own, and maybe mount a challenge.
Im whats wrong??? Listen I do not belive we should be in the premiership,I also do not believe we should be in the top 6 of the championship, what I do believe is that we should retain our championship status if that means scraping and scrapping then fair enough. I was responding to the OP, I would much rather be a bottom 4 championship club then a league 1 club simple as that. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
I f you think league one is going to be more enjoyable, think again!. If you were around the last time we fell into the third tier you will know exactly what i'm talking about. 90% of the teams in that league play horrible, unpleasant on the eye poor quality football. We also very nearly fell into the 4th tier too. I think we would do no better than mid table and we will be on the end of some hard to swallow embarrassing defeats to the so called smaller clubs of that league. Get ready it's awful.
In that case, why do people support Rochdale etc? You always have the hope that things will get better. We have no right to be in the Championship. The "we've been the club in the second tier for longer than anyone" arguement means nothing. You are where you are. For several seasons now we have scrapped in the Championship with maybe one season of relative calm. Hopefully, this relegation (I know its not certain, but at this moment it looks certain) will give us a chance to regroup and rebuild. The experiment with Keith Hill and Flicker has failed and we need to get rid of the deadwood and start again. Hopefully, this will mean bringing in some youth players and seeing what they can do. Relegation is a painful pill to swallow, but it is not the be-all and end-all.
Yes I was there. And yes I saw some terrible performances. And I never said it would be enjoyable. But would you say this season has been enjoyable? We have to make the best of where we are, and that looks like League1. Are we making progress in the Championship? The team now top of the Championship were in League 1 not so long ago. Southampton, Norwich have been down there and come back. People are talking as if this is the death-knell for BFC. It's certainly not our finest hour, but we have been there before and recovered.
90% of the teams in that league play horrible, unpleasant on the eye poor quality football - I am sure we have been playing this most of the season. Each to his own . I was around last time we dropped that low but come on we deserve to be playing L1 next season .
Top 10 finish next season for us for first time in 9 seasons that'll do me I want us to win double the amount of games we have been doing each season and if it means a drop in leagues to do it so be it bring it on
I will second that ...as they say in the big house in the commons.....ugh mmmugh mmm ugh .....ere ere
They've been here almost a full season and what exactly have they done for us? The only change is that Mansford does seem more willing to speak to the media and I appreciate that but isn't a big part of his role in securing other income streams for the club? I haven't noticed anything, if anything things have got worse in that respect.
