How come Barnsley don't do it?

Leicester have a great relationship Manchester united, Matt James and Danny Drinkwater both permanent
Bimringham have three loans each from the Manchester clubs.
Hull did it a few years ago and it worked for them really well.

I know people are eager to have permanent transfers but having a proper relationship with one of the top clubs could work really well.

They will loan out good players to clubs even at league one level. Ben Amos spent 9 matches at Carlisle earlier on in the season.

Thought we had some kind of relationship with Man Utd?

Doesn't look like it. they've got some very good talent in the u21's and we don't get any.
Ben Amos would be a very good signing next season. one year left on his contract but surely they'd let him go if we get in early and keep Sam Johnstone.

What about trying to get in James Wilson, England u19 and earning rave reviews for England and Manchester united.

We seem to have one with Stoke. We've got 2 loan players from Palace as well.

Im not particularly fussed. I'm not sure I want one with Man Utd. Tunnicliffe, Jones, Eckersley & Drinkwater in recent years. Only Drinkwater any use in my opinion.

I think you can easily end up in a position where you take players from a club you have a relationship with who aren't exactly what you need rather than scour the market for a more suitable player.

Ben Amos is no better than Luke Steele.

But keep up the sly digs at Luke

    Okay.

Just had a look at Chelsea u21 team.
Andreas Christensen. centre back Denmark u21 player. 18 year old.
Islam Feruz. Scottish u21 striker. 18
    Ruben Loftus-Cheek midfielder u19 I think for England. 17/18
Lewis Barker England u19. 18 Scored 6 in 11 for England u19's from midfield.

All been regulars in the u21 team at Chelsea. Bet there all up for loan next season. Danny Wilson/ Ben Manford. Maurice Watkins show they mean business and get a couple of them in it would be very good.

I'd prefer us to be able to pick and choose the players rather than being just a developing ground for 1 club.

The issue with doing that is that no manager is going to play 5 or 6 youngsters in one team so say for example you brought in Feruz & Barker that's likely to further stunt the development of Digby & Rose which is the last thing we want to be doing.

Next season is there time to have a real go at playing 30+ games for us. Mixed in with a few experienced heads & proven league one players

I honestly don't see us having a proper link with Stoke. We've loaned a few players for them but nothing like Hull Leicester or Birmingham have done.

Well if we had any relationship with them I think it all ended when they had us over with Shea. In a relationship that would be tantamount to kicking your mother in law in the face.
