I think the lowest (at the start anyway) was Bobby Hassell's

I'd expect maybe 8 grand on average, but will probably be more.

8 grand? A week? IMO that is miles out. I'll bet our squad average is nearer 8k a month. Top earners on about 5k a week.

Right, so at the lower estimate, two grand a week and some on as much as five grand a week. And they've served so much ***** up this season? And we're expected to shell out another three hundred quid for the privilege of watching them fumble around in a lower league next season? Don't this put a different complexion on it for the "I'll follow them whatever" brigade? I mean, come on! Are they really worth it? Is there nothing else to do of a Saturday afternoon?

I've heard that the top earner is Steele on 6,000 but that was before last summer so the likes of O'Grady & Cranie could be on that or similar as well.

Been told Kennedy is on 4,000.

No idea on anyone else or an average though

I'd struggle to justify four grand a year for one-foot Kennedy. Sacre blue!

hopefully they will all have a relegation clause in their contracts that will halve their salaries for getting relegated

TK is one of our higher earners (4k per week I was told too) or so I've been told by a pretty reliable source. I am also led to believe that Steele is still our top earner but I dont know what he earns.

Just to put our wages into perspective there was an interview with the new Leeds owner a few weeks back who revealed the wages of several players.

One of these is Noël Hunt who isn't even a regular for them & is on 25k a week which is around 4 times what our top earner is on.

Bare in mind that Leeds aren't receiving parachute payments & that there's at least 6 or 7 clubs paying higher salaries than they are & you begin to realise just how tough it is for clubs like ourselves, Millwall, Donny, Yeovil & Bournemouth to compete at this level.

Few years ago ours was about 7 grand a week, but would imagine it's higher now.

The wages we have been paying recently are LESS than what we were paying. We cut the budget.

Let's face it you can speculate all you want, you can say "i've heard from somebody", but in truth nobody has a clue and that's how it should be.

No one knows for sure but I would imagine players like RNL would be on £500 a week up to the top earners on £3/4k.Some of the lonees might be on more but I think the parent club would pay the larger percentage.I think because of what B.Mansford said about running a tight ship our wage bill will not be far of the lowest in the Championship.I read somewhere last year that the average wage in our division is £4k a week so when you consider the clubs who pay £20kplus wages they'll be a lot of players on one or two grand a week.

Well said GFT, exactly how I see it. Oakwell, even this season, is far preferable to anything else you would be FORCED to do otherwise.
