Danny's a right hard b.stard. Telling the reporter he's basically talking b.llocks, threatening to smack someone on the nose and being an all round b.stard.

Not letting Rose get carried away after his 5 L2 substitute appearances to piss Hemsworth off was my favourite.

    Gu on Danny.

He's a proper manager. The real McCoy. Just need to stick with him.

he'l not admit it but i bet he regrets not going for broke in a few other games before now and i fully expect us to have another derby like performance tomorrow and lose 2-1.

Id normally go but fed up of watching us roll over and not going for the kill - even when we are behind. Maybe JOB and Rose can add a bit of spice?

Id love for them to prove me wrong though and it be all on for next weekend. That would be unreal - especially if we managed to do it again on the last day... But not thinking too much about that yet...

Come on Danny - go and smash em to pieces for a change.

Nah, as he always says, no regrets. If we had, we might not even be in with a chance now. Calculated gambling and all that.

    Boro play one up front.

Do you want us to go 4-4-2? Let them have an extra man in midfield? The extra man being Butterfield. With Dawson and Lawrence towing their ******** against him, Chalobah and Leadbitter?

I know my apples on Boro. We go there and set up 4-4-2, or 'gung-ho' and we're down by 3.20pm.

Pretty much this. Even with 5 in midfield, the players we've got available will have to play out of their skins to win the midfield battle. Play 4-4-2 and we'll be slaughtered. Keep it tight, try to nick a goal on the break like we did at Reading, Yeovil and Charlton to great success and if we're still drawing with 75 minutes on the clock, get Danny Rose on, move M'Voto up front alongside Rose and O'Grady and launch the ball in there. Hope you get a goal and then try to hang on.

Dunno how it works at every club, but at BFC (under Hillcroft) they (the players) used to find out the day before. At Boro under Mowbray, twas the same. But under Karanka, they don't find out until a meeting at 12pm.

If they're away, they know a day before if they're int squad, but still dunno if they're starting or not.

All this might be boring to you, but for us (and other players' family/friends whatever) it's a pain in the arse. R lass has to wait until 12pm or so until she knows whether to bother going. She still goes most of the time if he's on the bench at home, but if he's on it away, she dunt bother. I've not been with her since the FA Cup defeat against Hull, when Proschwitz scored. I'll be going tomorrow with the family, but then leaving them to sit with the reds fans.

So after all that, I have no idea if he's starting, mate. I would assume he is, based on him not playing Tuesday and them being ****. He's been their player of the month so you'd think so. As a reds fan, I hope he dunt play. :)

With 4-4-2 we won 3-1 at Reading and 4-1 at Yeovil. What's to lose?

Apparently so, but if we do we'll lose, lose, lose because we simply haven't got the players. The reason we're still in with a chance, albeit a small one, is because keeping it tight and hitting the opposition on the break has resulted in 3 victories from our last 5 away games.

Agree. Not a coincidence that we've scored first in each of the games we've won.

We're not a bad defensive side. We're not conceding lots of goals recently and it's hard for teams to beat us - it's even more so when we get our nose in front. Our record recently away is good. Why change it? Understand the point about 442 away at Yeovil but that's when Pedersen was available. Obviously doesn't feel he can play the same with Nick ze German.

Not really. Pedersen came off after 45 minutes at Reading and 24 minutes at Yeovil. We weren't winning either game at that point. RNL came on in both games and played deeper.

Sounds about the right tactics to me.

Dale Jennings will be key. He often is. If we can get a March performance out of him, we'll have a chance. They don't have a right full back. It used to be Rhys Williams (Aussie international) but he did his ACL a while back. Karanka got shut of Frazer Richardson. So they play defensive midfielder Jozef Varga there. He's steady. Doesn't really move over halfway, good in the tackle, solid I suppose. But he's slow, can't pass and players with pace/guile get the better of him regularly. So if Dale's on form, I expect us to have joy there, especially with COGba in close vicinity. They usually play Adomah (class act) ahead of Varga, and as good as he is, he's no Jim O'Brien in terms of getting back to help.

The other side is a different story altogether. George Friend is everything you want Tom Kennedy to be.

Danny Graham up top is not in COGba's league. I say that with a straight face. In fact, were I Aitor Karanka I'd be sending him and his 20k a week wage back to Sunderland in the Summer, and trying to sign O'Grady. That is Boro's weakness. The target men they've had aren't mobile or unselfish enough.

Their centre halves (be it Ayala, Woodgate, Gibson or Omereu) are all quality at this level on their day. The worst I've seen Boro play is when the opposition break at them with pace. I'm not sure we've got that in our locker unfortunately. So I'd keep it tight as **** for as long as possible, hope the Boro players are as bad as they were against Millwall and Reading (on their holiday displays), and then have a right old go with 15 to play.

Danny'll go 3-5-2 or summat tomorrow, all out attack. Just to mug me off. :)

Not a fan. Think with a lot more optimism we'd be out by now.

Ipswich game, for one was 2 wasted points and you could probably say the same about most games at home. Which in my opinion most of them have been poor with no intent to win.

That the Ipswich game we conceded two fluke goals in?

2-0 up, then sat back in last 10 mins with bad use of subs.

Brought it on on ourselves with how we sat back. Two fluke goals or not we went so deep it was uncalled for. 2nd wasn't much of as fluke, harsh for foul and smashed free kick in. Our 2nd was a bit proxy too with 2 deflections but I'll take it.
