I've asked them twice now, in the last hour, on two of their many twitter accounts if there will be tickets to purchase on the day at Boro tomorrow. No response whatsoever. They've set up all these accounts, and yet can't answer them for some reason. Is there any other way of getting this information, or do I ask Boro?
I did. As well as the usual club account. I've asked the Boro account now. See if they get back to me.
Is that like the YCCC one? Where you asked how to get ticket info. If using the Internet there are some search engines available to assist.
To be fair i am positive that twitter account will only be monitored sporadically due to staffing. On pay on the gate, I'm 100% positive You can. They just don't publicise the fact so people buy from the box office, meaning we get our cut and the rozzers have a better idea how many are going.
I was told by a supporter that you can. From the Boro ticket office. So all is good. Just annoying really. I could sit in the posh seats for nowt as I usually do up there, but I want to be able to shout/cheer/cry with my fellow supporters.
On a similar subject, do the club answer emails? The German lads who came over for the Leeds game emailed the club 3 times and got no reply, not even an automated acknowledgment. Does anyone else find that emails are simply ignored by the club? My attitude to this is simple - if you get too many emails to answer, and/or you haven't got enough staff to answer them, don't publicise the email address. You can't make the excuse that you get too many emails if you freely advertise an email address for fans or potential fans to use. Same applies to Twitter accounts, Farcebook pages or any other method of soliciting communication.
Despite Ben Mansford telling people with queries to email him at thereds@barnsleyfc.co.uk i've not heard from anyone who's got a response from him, someone on his behalf or even an automated response.
Never had a reply in all my years. Emailed Stokesy once, got a reply. Maybe he's your man if you've owt to ask.
Club would have ignored emails from our Friends from Munich even if they had sent 1000 messages. They had made their mind up that they were Leeds trouble causers out to cause havock. And what did they base that on? The fact that they were GERMAN! Beggars belief Least I haven't had my season ticket confiscated eh? Anyway, I know why they don't have time to respond to emails, or tweets- they are always on here! They must me, as nothing gets past them.
I know one particular German very well and she's definitely a trouble causer! Seriously, I found the entire attitude to the lads amazing, at a time where the club needs all the finance it can get. You could have easily given up on the issue, leaving the club £46 worse off, but instead you stuck at it and took some grief from the club because of it. Pity the Germans didn't bring any luck with them.
That's totally unbelievable. My mind boggles at how anyone in any sort of authority at the club can allow that to go on. Absolutely incredible.
I emailed him a week or two back and got nothing back. He pretty much answered my questions on Radio Sheff before the Charlton game but would've been nice to have an acknowledgement.
