I'm on a mission. It's now post relegation that more than ever BFC need to engage, entertain, involve and connect to the fans. We were promised 12 months ago an increased 'match day experience' ..... well other than the new condiment stations and ..... well a few TV's ...... anyway.... Serious replies only please. It's not a cost thing, the ideas we're gonna submit are all basic/non cost up front with a no brainer of generating more revenue. So.... any reasonable ideas are more than welcome. Don't forget this is designed to be beneficial to the future of our club. It's to engage the next generation. To keep interest. To get back lapsed fans. To make the 3 hours or so a fortnight more enjoyable. To make our kids want to go. To make folk spend a few quid more. Comments and ideas welcomed. UTR
I know Marc, it's more obvious than today but I hope to glean some positive ideas. I've already suggested loads and wanted to put it out for some others........ cue shitty replies;-)
tbh fella, my only match day experience for next season, is what happens during the 90 minutes. been an absolute car crash this season. can't say i've enjoyed much, if any of it. i'll be back next year though...
tv's are always impeccable in the east stand. a better class of fan though. the pointy rabble would throw a smoke canister at one of 'em
This is the entire point of this thread mate. My lad is 9. I take him to most home games. The footy int great! But I have no incentive to go in before 3pm. The various ideas at little/no cost to the club would see him wanting to be int ground at 1.30-2 seeing me spending my brass on dinner/drinks rather than putting it over the bar int tarn. I hate the phrase 'it's not rocket science' but it isn't! Anyway..... watch this space
aye. i'll be in the family stand with the young 'un next year, so will be interesting to see what pans out. i'm struggling to think of anything even remotely creative at the mo though!
That's me knackered. Er, leaving aside all the usual ballacks I would post, I'd like to see local food and drink served at Oakwell. Acorn Ales, good quality Barnsley pork pies, that sort of thing. I'd be far more likely to spend my money there if that was on offer.
Been there, done it. One thing's for certain - as long as Lindley's are involved, that will never happen
