    I'm done with them.

Absolute dire with no intent to win since he joined.

Down without a fight. Mickey Mellon said it as it was when he left.

See ya then. If we've had no intent how come we've gained more points under DW?

He will be at Oakwell next season, but persist in playing some of the most atrocious tactics and formations, and a large percentage of the fans Won't be.

    Standard Redstar.

Mellon basically said from the start when he came in he saw how good the squad was and we competed every week with attacking football. Said early this season we still competed. Then said it all changed basically when Wilson came in.

We stopped competing, played with no passion and basically became a pushover. Something like the atmosphere at the club changed and he left.

Were they all special human beings or did he miss that bit out?

If he said how good the squad was then thank **** we got shut because it would confirm he knows **** all.

Well that's a laugh. Did he say it with a straight face?

No, he was just a bloke working at the club and told the difference between what was now and then at the time.

Been honest from the Derby game I noticed a difference in how we played with no real passion and how negative it was.

No just gave his opinion on how we played in one relegation battle to the current one.

    Hard to disagree really.

To be fair, Flitcroft clearly thought he was better than what he was, and he changed things tactically for the worse since our great escape last season. which meant clearly last season was a fluke.

Last season was a successful execution of tub thumping. That was Flickers only skill.

No I think he started off too cautious, thought he had time and tried to get into a season.

It's no fluke that teams who have a go get there rewards. Just think we've gone down without a fight and that's what I hate.

    So frustrating.

I see it differently. I think we have gone down after a fight. It has not been the kind of fight you are visualising but it has been a fight and they have tried their best. The fight has been based on tightening up and becoming harder to beat which is what we became in the 2nd half of the season. Unfortunately we still couldnt find enough points to scrape through but if we had continued with the same progress and direction we had under flicker then we would have been down by March. We have lasted this long because they gave it a good fight and DW did his level best to engineer an escape with what he had to work with. But we have gone down in the end because we have a squad full of poor players and it was one of the 3 worst teams in the division. That hasnt happened since christmas, it has been building for a long tkme and will take time to put right. But I am now looking forward to the rebuilding job and a better more enjoyable season next year in L1. Bring it on.

Hated league 1 last time. Full of awful grounds, naughty hooligan elements like from the old days. Awful football.

Danny will be the manager next season, he deserves time to tidy up this mess.
