Should we take the competition seriously next season? Would it be a good day out at Wembley? Or is it just a meaningless competition? Be nice to get to Wembley, but i'm not too sure i'd be that excited if it was the JPT...
No. Waste of time. One of those competitions where it would actually be a bit embarrassing to win it! We'd almost certainly lose money to play in it, because nobody will bother going to watch the game. I'd use it to play the reserves and youngsters to give them a game.
I, for one, would welcome a nice little JPT run, and the possibility of a visit to Wembley and some silverware
would like us to do well in the JPT ... CREATE SOME NEW OPTIMSM in the club and reinvigorate the fans to back the club.
A trip to Wembley is a trip to Wembley, regardless of the competition. I'd go, so would some of the stowaways. If a small percentage of those then decided to go to league matches, it'd be worth it.
We'd look a right tinpot side celebrating a win v Crawley or whoever. Waste of time and money to do it plus extra games to take mind off the league.
Jesus Christ some are talking about getting to Wembley like I talk about going upstairs for a *****!! WAKE UP!!! Next season is going to be hard. Different style of football, every team wanting to muller us cos we'll be 1 of the 'bigger' teams and maybe losing some good players (although they've not lived up to much this season) Me personally I'd like us to solely concentrate on getting back to the championship, if we do put a run together in a certain cup it could well just keep any momentum going that we might have picked up!! I feel utterly depressed if am been honest about the thought of next season.
I want us to attempt to win every game irrespective of the competition and how meaningless it might appear to be. That way we breed a winning culture at the club.
Agree with nearly all of that apart from been one of the bigger sides. Some big sides in that league all demanding promotion. We'll be mid table when it comes to attendence even.
