agree with barnsley loyal. we have no divine right to be in the champ. bigger clubs than us have gone down. we're down on merit, no doubt about it. i'm actually not that ar$ed about it tbh. will be nice to actually go into games thinking we may have a realistic chance of winning.

Got to agree. I'm looking forwards to next season now, there is something strangely appealing in games against teams like Chesterfield, Oldham and the blunts. I'm looking forwards to it but i still hope its not an extended stay in the pub league.

This phrase "the likes of....." usually has Barnsley in it when other fans and pundits mention it. It does my head in, because it's totally disrespectful. The last thing we should be doing is disrespecting others by using it ourselves, we are where we deserve to be because of our on the field performances. Leave the delusion to the others.

I hadn't thought of that. I wonder which team will replace us in the "the likes of Barnsley" when players and managers from the relegated clubs from the Premiership are bleating about being in the Championship? Donny if they stay up I presume. I'd love one of them to say Leeds or Wednesday. In fact, I might write to the managers of Cardiff, Fulham and Norwich and pledge a donation to the charity of their choice if they bemoan having to play "the likes of Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday" in their post relegation interviews!
