Looks to have done well for Notts County.

He was a decent player for us but players of his physical stature tend to be at their peak around 25 (ie when he was last with us), can't see him being anything like the same kind of player at 31/32 or whatever he is now

No, was decent for the first couple of years but he was terrible under Robins and couldn't get anywhere near the team.

Will probably drop another division for next season.

I'd have him back. Always been a cracking little player in my eyes. Just had a great season for Notts County with quite a few goals and assists.
He may not play every week but he'd be a more than decent squad player for next season.
All immaterial by the way, as I doubt we'd go for him anyway. He is out of contract though.......

I would have him back, as we need a new left back. That's where he ended up playing just before he left.

Second day running a thread about bringing back a former player or former players has come up. Maybe we need an official 'Don't Want Any Former Players Back' thread so people can just say no and leave it at that all summer.

No. Always remember him arguing over who should take a penalty in a critical relegation match, and the penalty subsequently being missed after JCR took his bat and ball home with the prt lip out. Mr Ego. Not a team player.

The day Andranik had a hissy fit because he won the penalty, and JCR being the normal penalty taker told him to go away. JCR then stepped up and had it saved by current reds keeper Iain Turner.

Jamal did score a header in the same game though. Playing as a sweeper/fullback/winger/striker.

Remember that game well. The ground was packed as well as they'd made it a 5er in so JCR made himself look a nob in front of twice as many people as normal

He was a good player as a winger but lost it when he started playing in the centre, think it went to his head a bit

Wouldn't mind Craig Davies myself good player at that level.

Was only doing as he was told.

Looking at JCR in recent weeks for Notts, he's ripped that division up as County have saved their skin. I'm happy for him. I associate JCR more with our cup run and his goal at Hillsborough, more than I do with the end of his BFC career.

Would I have him back? Probably not.

Happy that Notts are staying up. Great ground similar to ours, quite local.

I'd have had him off Bolton in January this season. Always rated him. Most of the BBS did until he left.

I stopped rating him while he was still with us. His effort, attitude and application during his final months were abysmal.

I rated him in the early days but his form dropped dramatically when he decided he was too good to play for us. Still can't forgive him for the worst penalty miss ever against Brum. Don't think he'd come back to us and I also very much doubt we could afford him.
People will be in for a rude awakening when they actually realise the budget available to us this summer. We were skint before, doubly so now. That's why I reckon JCR would be a decent squad addition.
