has had his high court date set for November..... WHY?? How guilty can he be... so WHY wait so long. Just put the chuff down.
agreed...... don't care what issues he has, stabbing a person to death is unacceptable...FACT. To any do gooders out there who may or may not say 'he may have had issues', i dont care...still unacceptable.... having said all that, he'll be out and about in about 10 years...Mrs Maguire won't. Sumbag...End of.
Only reason I can think of as to why he's at crown court in november is because he might be 16 and then be trialled as a adult?
Surely hes already locked up on remand.. the date in November is just to decide how long they keep him locked up for or am I missing something here?/
Who is saying it's acceptable? Of course it's unacceptable. Has anyone said anything to the contrary? I would imagine the date of November is simply when they can fit it in. Unfortunately, the number of crimes we have means there is a wait for court space.
One question I would ask is would you want him to get away with it on a technicality? The reality - whether we agree with it or not - is that there is such a thing as the human rights act. Whatever peoples feelings I would rather them take their time, get whatever psychological profiling and social workers reports and stuff done properly so the fecker doens't get out in a couple of years time with a massive payout for an unsafe conviction. But whilst were on the subject of do gooders I'd like to add I'm glad we don't live in a society where children are killed by the state - whatever they do. But then - I'm despicable evil human being me.
Without knowing any of the facts (as most are not in the public domain), is he someone that went out to murder the teacher, was it manslaughter, does he have mental illness that means he should not even have been in the school in the first place but in an appropriate secure facility. All of these things have to be taken into account and give him a fair trial.
Correct. Its just time to prepare the case and such. In the meantime the little toe-rag will be kept in custody on remand. This may all be a waste of time but that is another discussion.
Murder by definition is pre-meditated and for anyone to commit murder must, by my way of thinking be ill, mentally ill. Mental illness is one of the last taboos left. This on top of the fact that it was a child who allegedly committed this atrocity opens up the question - was this child of sufficient mental capacity to knowingly do undertake this crime. some people are all too quick to point the finger and condemn. We as a society should not cast judgement until all the facts are known.
You're such a ****er. Why not go live in any of the countries who execute children. Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Nigeria, USA. http://www.amnesty.org/en/death-penalty/executions-of-child-offenders-since-1990 Lovely bunch eh?
Yes, stupid, but Barristes ans Solicitors need to make as much money out of this as they can, trying to defend the little lovely person*, and if their diaries are full then thats it. ..
The family of victims often need a trial as part of their grieving process. There are several stages they need to get through first before the trial - which can be closure - this takes time. It is very rare for a guilty plea to be entered at the outset of a murder trial for this very reason. "Why?" is the big question that can sometimes be partially answered by a contested trial. Fair trials take time to arrange - as has been said, "I"s need dotting and "T"s need crossing to ensure everything is in order. We do not want a lynching mentality running the judicial system in this country. I expect a "Not Guilty" plea, with some some sort of "grounds". I expect a fair trail - maybe with a change of plea along the way. Possibly after the prosecution evidence and the first cross examination of the alleged (see what I did there) murderer. I expect a guilty verdict if plea is not changed. I expect a sentence that some on here will regard as lenient, saying things like "He will be out in x many years that's disgraceful, how can the judge do that" Sorry to be so calm about this but sometimes people need to be calm. This whole event just makes me feel very sad. Regards RB
The lad in question was a straight A Student, and was normally one of the most well behaved kids in class. I know this as I know the Teacher who took the knife off of him.
sorry sir its you who have the stronger right hand here is it too much to ask that a person can go to work without fearing for their life or personal injury.... maybe its you who should go the countries you mentioned perhaps. A school teacher should not have to worry about one of his/her charges attacking them to whatever degree. You have obviously not given that aspect too much consideration it would seem.
