Just re-reading keeper of dreams. It is still an amazing story. I enjoy reading most of the books about barnsley purely because I am a fan. Most of them however, like a lot of football biographies, are vacuous and badly written. This one is a cracker and good for anyone with an interest in football.

And just as I complain about things being badly written, I spell his name wrong in the title. Ah well

And presents the case why Danny Wilson shouldn't have been given our managers job

Inexperienced manager in trusting football agent shocker. I'm sure he hasn't learned anything in the 17 years since the Prem season.

Is this a list of poor signings? Hristov was quality - but we never made the most of him and we were unlucky with injuries. Are you going to add the at signings that took us up? Wilkinson, Hendrie, Marcelle, Thompson, Appleby, Barnard, De Zeeuw, and then later Ward, and Fjortfoft?

The signing of Lars Leese was actually a master stroke and anyone who went to Anfield will agree. If you read the nook and know Lars story it was actually a very astute signing. Put real pressure on Dave Watson for his place and made Watson excel. Some people know nothing of the history of our club but feel free to slag off someone with no basis in anything resembling a fact.

Not arguing one way or the other about your comments, but what's with all these full stops? It makes. Your posts difficult. To understand.

So the bits where Lars was basically a teenage prodigy then sort of lost his way...

Do you agree that Lars Leese played very well for Barnsley ? Or do you think otherwise ?
