Why not? I mean he kept Accrington Stanley in the league with one game to spare so that seems like the type of managerial history we should be aspiring to.

    /sarcasm

The Daily Star says it's happening, so that'll do for me.

It's not ********. It's in the Daily Star. He's going to be managing Barnsley/Blackpool/Doncaster.

    How can anyone doubt this?

I only posted it due to it's utter ******** nature.

I can see him being on Blackpool's radar, but I'd be stunned if we get shut of Danny, and replaced him with a ******* novice who used to be paid £30,000 per week to play for the Blunts.

If Danny's going, unless it's Keith replacing him I'm out. Seriously. :)

They haven't said he will be manager next year. They have hinted at it with cleverly worded words but never thought of releasing a statement to confirm it and nobody on our board have said "Danny Wilson will definately be our manager for next season" or words to that effect. I got told saturday the retained list will be out tuesday so hopefully so :)

Lots of people saying the club have openly confirmed Danny will be here next season.

I've heard it mentioned in interviews but I've not seen any official statement from the club. Nothing.

What contract was he offered when he took over? Was it until the end of this season or next?

No one knows. It's shrouded in secrecy for some reason.

The club refused to state what contract had been agreed when Wilson was first appointed. Therefore there was no reason to make any other sort of statement about the situation, as nothing had altered. In fact, John Dennis was the only person who, when Danny arrived, said in the local media the contract would probably run until the end of the season.
There were plenty who used that to make the claim that Wilson would leave in the Summer and be replaced by Mellon.

I said various times I thought Micky Mellon would be our next manager.

The club rated MM. Why keep him until they did if they didn't? If Danny was the first (and only) choice, why give him two weeks and three games in charge? Why force Danny to work with him? I think, after hearing some of the things I have, it was a fair 'claim' that Micky might have ended up manager. But things went off in the background that meant he had to go.
