Im just hoping its been offered with a view that we will be having a good bash at going up first time and that he simply isnt good eough for the championship. No silly kennedy-esque three year contracts

Danny rates him and would probably have offered him a new deal had we stayed up. I reckon it will be two year deal.

Danny obviously knows more than any of us about what is required for a successful division three team, but it does worry me that he see's something in a central midfield player whose first touch is a bobble, second touch is a lunging tackle and can't get his head up to play a forward pass to save his life

More importantly, I hope there's a clause in there that allows us to terminate his contract without severence payment if he is found guilty of 'Spot Fixing' whilst in a Barnsley shirt.

I would have thought his place at the club will be untenable if so.

Think you will find that is called gross misconduct.

He'd be dismissed for gross misconduct the same as any employee.
