So much to look forward to next season then! Looks like the rumour of having a bottom half League 1 budget could be true
Nice dig at BFC from Sir Bobby on Radio Sheff - he put boot in then !!!!! "I don't know what type of players the club thinks it will attract because they are paying really low wages" "they will be using a lot of the youth but where will the experience come from" We keep on the absolute sh*te like Dawson and let Hassell go............club dropped a bollock there
$hit decision. Bobby Hassell is exactly the experience we needed, to help lead us back. Pi$$ poor Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As much as I like & admire Bobby, I'm really baffled as to how he can make judgement calls along those lines, when surely there's no way he'll be privy to such confidential information? Especially when he says he's rarely spoken to Danny Wilson. Or perhaps I'm just being naive and he does indeed have access to the information.
Offering low wages...Maybe thats to Mellis so he don't sign, but we can take any club to tribunal cos he was offered a contract and under 24..Ex agent Ben knows the craic.
It's obvious the budget will be smaller than in the Championship. But no one knows which players Danny Wilson has targeted to bring into the club. Nor does anyone know what salaries will be asked by these unknown players, or what the club is willing to pay.
I suppose you can't blame him for some bitterness coming through, sounds like he was expecting some kind of role at the club but was told "thank you and goodbye" this afternoon.
The players will, how do you think Butterfield knew what everyone else was on when going for his new contract, or Howard telling everyone in town who would listen that he only wanted what Darren Moore was on. All the players find out from their agents who the club are after, players talk and get tapped up. It's the way it works.
Liam Lawrence not signing was apparently due to wage demands. He's probably spoken to bobby about what the club offered. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
We should have the second biggest budget in the division but I'm sure the incompetents running the club will spin us a yarn to explain why this is not possible.
I don't think things are going to be as easy as some are making out financially. And I hope Ben hasn't fanned expectation with that RS interview. I imagine the money from Stones et al has gone which means unless Mr Cryne puts some money in himself we're down to spending what we earn. Which is going to much less in L1. While still paying 4 decent Championship contracts. This isn't me saying Mr Cryne should put money in. This is me saying that I hope things are as rosy as Mr Mansford made out.
Let's hope the summer sale money is given to the manager to spend on the squad and not used to plug some financial hole or disappear on a new team coach and some training bibs.
