    I suspect it was

and I'd be more bothered if we were offering him good money based on what I've seen ie he's past it. I also think the live within 25 miles of Barnsley criteria might mean a few of the offers have been made with that in mind. Wouldnt surprise me if the 3 offered contracts dont actually sign up.

    Cut your cloth.

I would not be at all bothered if those 3 chalked on us.

    Long road back.

I'd like to see Jim back with us. Not because he's a brilliant footballer, I just like him. Brilliant attitude and a top bloke, but he's certainly not irreplaceable. I suspect he'll get a better offer in Scotland. I'll be slightly relieved if the other two turn us down.

I don't mind if all3 turn us down though I think Cywka's pace could be valuable in League 1 especially as we are such a one paced side.

What Jay said about Jim but I think unfortunately he is the least likely to sign

I am really neutral about Thomas if he signs thats fine by me but I wont be losing any sleep if he doesnt - has shown signs of being a decent player but not consistent enough. Think he will struggle to get another championship club so he may well sign and impress in league1

I dont want Dawson but think he is the most likely to sign unfortunately - he may do OK in league 1 but I am not convinced - he certainly wont be sought after by championship sides but hopefully Keef wants him back at Rochdale

Agree with that - but he's looked mentally fatigued to me (tap room psychologist alert) and I think a year on year battling like **** just to stop up has taken its toll - better for all concerned if he (and the rest) move on imho.

Dunno, he might sign up, we win a few games next season and he looks awesome. What I know about football amounts to **** all.

I doubt any of the contracted players will take a reduction now we're in L1

so we'll have some players on Championship money, until they leave, so I cant see Craine, O Grady and Jennings being here for long. And worse, Kennedy will be first choice left back next season because we wont be able to get shut.

Forget 10 signings. Forget 5 signings. We'll be making no signings until high earners have left. I'll be very surprised if we dont start the season with Rose up front, and a very young bench.

It's quite a fall from £1.2mill for Hume, and whatever Kevin Phillips wants he can have.

Still, this is where we learn about the true character of us all.

I don't think it has. But Mr Northern* didn't say they had, he just questioned if that's where the comment had come from.

*I wish he'd get a proper name. Extremely Northern said this, Extremely Northern said that. I much preferred it when he called himself...
