That leaves us with 9 players. Steele Kennedy, mvoto, crainie, rnl Jennings, digby Rose, o Grady, I think that's the spine of a good side!
Nyatanga too. There's one thing, neither the manager nor the board can have any excuses next season. The players we've got, with the exception of Kennedy, are either quality experienced professionals or emerging young talent. They've then got a blank piece of paper on which to sign the players they want. No dross left over from the last regime, no players on the books stealing a living, but a squad ready to be assembled by those in charge right now and we'll live or die by their decisions. If we have a good board and manager in place it could be the start of something very good. We'll see, but that's the attitude I'll be taking in to next season. I'm looking forward to it.
But if they do sign: Steele NEW RB Cranie M'voto Kennedy Jennings Digby O'Brien Cwyka Rose O'Grady Subs: Dibble Nyatanga Dawson RNL Bree? (probably too young) Basis of a good league 1 side. Need a new RB and LB (I think/hope he'll try and ditch Kennedy). I imagine at least one of the 'stars' will go, hopefully Cranie as I think he would be the easiest to replace and Nyatanga might be able to slot in. Hopefully we can sign Ramage Need a creative midfielder, a striker or two and a 'stopper' for when Digby is injured
If we do end up signing 8-10 players I'd expect a 2 month period as a minimum for those players to blend in and form a team.
Digby should be a lot more than just a 'stopper' in that league. He should be box to box and dictating games. Driving us forward. Really looking forward to watching him.
