Matt Murray is divisive in my opinion. Takeover this, Bobby Hassell that..... Fecking fed up if the negative bile that spews from that source. Am sick of all the negativity surrounding BFC. FFS, this is the right time to clear out everything that has been bad/wrong at Oakwell. Just wish everyone would unite and get behind them, all this social networking heresay and attitude that we should know the intimate details of the clubs finances really winds me up. Let managers manage and supporters support. Best thing we can do is support what the club is trying to do. If it doesn't generate the required response then we make our feelings known but it's fecking bonkers to keep witch hunting before owts happened. Who gives a flying one if the club pulled it, I don't (my opinion) Got head cold, feel grumpy, apologies for the rant UTR
Brilliant. We could turn this BBS into one long love-in with the club. Everyone would be bored rigid after a week. If that.
Not saying we don't have discussion or opinion it's just that the majority if MM's post appear divisive or mischievous. I guarantee that any new signings will be slated before they have even kicked a ball because of the negativity that exists. All my opinion though and last season didn't promote many happy thoughts but it's over, gone, consigned to history so IMO it's time to be half full
I remember writing to Keith Lodge in the early-90's asking why he seemed to be unable, or unwilling, to criticise the club. Didn't receive a reply. Believe me, the club gets off very lightly in comparison to the way some local papers criticise their clubs. Also worth remembering that we have just suffered the most dismal season in living memory, and have been relegated from the worst Championship since we got promoted back there IMHO. Yes, by all means let's move on, but the people who brought us to where we now find ourselves are still at the helm, and they need to understand that we expect a lot better. I, for one, have put my faith in them by renewing several season tickets. I expect to see something in return.
I think he's just reporting the news, mate. Don't think there's anything divisive. Agree RE letting managers manage. However, we've left our Board to manage without any real pressure for a number of years now. Pick your targets.
I do. It's not a good sign when the manager isn't being allowed to manage. It should be the choice of the manager who he wants to sign. If the board have stopped him offering a contract to someone how is that good? Surely the board haven't already lost some confidence in him due to his poor record for bringing players in so far.
Don't know if Matt Murray is being divisive and negative or just relaying the news, but I do agree there is far, far too much negativity about. Every single piece of news released by the club is met with cries of derision. Yes, last season was ****, but it's gone. IMHO, with a relatively new board in place, a relatively new manager and a small squad predominantly made up of players the majority of us would want to keep, we can make a fresh start. We weren't relegated last season because of the four months Wilson was in charge, we were relegated after years of getting things wrong. We now have a chance to do things right. Let's give the people in charge room to do that.
You're right Jay. But you cant help feeling pi55ed off with the way the club has been run for the last ~7 years. Im praying we get it right and stability is then the natural progression.
Saw this on twitter yesterday, be of interest for all the Danny haters with there shallow arguments. Call it whatever you want, but he would have kept us up, if the first half of the season had not been such a shambles
