Correct decision for me. Talented player, only 23 and deserves another chance. Should run games in that division if the efforts there.

He's only being offered another deal so we get compensation if he signs elsewhere isn't he?

    Had enough chances.
Had ample time last season to show the effort but couldn't be bothered.
This is a backward step from BFC

He must have some dodgy photos of Danny. He didn't give a **** in the Championship, how much is he gonna care in L1? Sincerely hope he turns the deal down. He would have been first out the door

I've heard on the grapevine that he's already agreed a move to Huddersfield.
They're welcome to him for me. Spineless fancy dan.

The Lawrence situation was made a bit clearer too. Wilson sounded him out to see if he'd be interested in staying. After the meeting with the board the club decided not to go with him. Doesn't sound like any contract was ever offered then withdrawn.

I would imagine, after hearing what Lawrence was expecting, we decided we could get better value for money elsewhere.

I liked Lawrence, thought he was one of the few signings this season who actually cared. But I'm not going to pretend he was the same player he once was. He's a good honest lad and I wish him well, I would have been happy if he'd stayed, but I'm not disappointed we've decided against him. I'm hoping we find someone younger with their best in front of them rather than behind them.

To be able to get compo you have to offer the player the same or more money than they were on before. So if he does sign the deal I'm sure it would leave us in abit of a sticky situation. Because I bet we would struggle to pay his wages in L1

Is that true if a club is relegated? I don't know, but I would imagine their are stipulations that allow clubs to offer less should they drop down a division.

Yes 100% true. They can't offer him any less or we wouldn't receive a penny in compensation
