Our country seems to fail to accept that racism works both ways, seems some sections of the population are simply allowed to get away with it.

I've seen jobs advertised where they've suggested that, if you're white, you're wasting your time applying.

Yep, only the other day I applied for a job as Finance Director of a FTSE 100 company - imagine my dismay at the end of the interview when the HR lady said to me - "f.ck off whitey, this company operates a no honkies policy".

Just looking at Senior Finance manager jobs in London. A lot of them are stipulating a **** length of at least 10 inches, which is a policy specifically designed to root out all the longpigs.

I think you misread the advert. It actually said "must be a massive penis", not "must have a massive penis"!

 

I think it was a typing error and missed out a space - the advert should have said "Owning a large black pen is an advantage"

 

those and Britain First who are actually an offshoot from the National Front. Dress like paramilitaries, use intimidatory tactics.

If I were you, I would have captured that advert and seek legal advice.

Without a doubt this could not happen; Working in the role I did, where I recruited frequently and having to design recruitment advertising etc, I can guarentee that it would be impossible for this to happen throughout the process from advert, to assessment, to role offer. Its impossible, even if you wanted to. You'd be in court faster than Usain Bolt runs the 100m. I chose him because he's the fastest man on the planet rather, not because of his colour, honestly M' Lud.

 

It worded something like 'we particularly welcome applications from black and ethnic minorities'

At the council its called 'positive discrimination' and people have and continue to be given jobs because of their ethnicity.

 

If it said that exactly then speak to a solicitor. You wouldnt be allowed to say 'particularly'. You could say, as an example, 'we are a company that adopts an environment of a diverse workforce and encourage all people to apply regardless of ethnic background' etc etc.
