End of the day you need to pay for the ground, staffing, comms and media, police then of course players whichever league you are in so we have a great offer

A team further down the league pyramid is charging less than us. I don't get your point.

What league they are in is neither here nor there. Stockport's income will almost entirely be from gate revenues- they can hardly give tickets away.

£265 is good value- I'm surprised it's not a little more.

I'd rather pay 315 to watch us then save less than two quid a game by watching football three leagues lower. As you say we give value for money.

What? To watch lower half of Conference North football. I think that is what BarnsleyLoyal is talking about, and quite frankly I agree with him.

Didn't even realise Stockport were in Conference North! Thought they were League 1 or 2!

    £245 according to this
    http://www.since1883.com/prices.php

I paid £370 for Oakwell, but that was the early bird offer so I need to compare that with £225.

So you're basing the price of a season ticket, on the league status of the club, yes?

So we're charging more this season, or (at best) a price freeze (for those who had to pay ridiculously early) even though we're a division lower? Yet you're happy with our prices, but find Stockport's wrong?

They're a similar size club to us. They're in the ****, have been for a number of years. It works out at about a tenner a game. Can't see an issue with it. In fact, most season ticket prices at most clubs aren't an issue for me. It's the pay on the day prices I find appallingly obscene, especially the higher up the pyramid you go.

For early bird our prices were actually cheaper than last season.

Were they? Thought the cheapest ticket was £335?

Bloody hell Andy - you really have fallen for the berk's mantra. Hook, line and sinker. As the cliche goes.

Sorry, I thought I was on the Rochdale forum for a minute... :)

Folk would have said the same about Swansea a while back. Now, nobody would call us bigger than them.

I lived in Stockport for over a year. It's a Manc version of Tarn, seriously. Very similar place, similar issues. They (and us) had a little peak era in the 90's. We fared better though, and the rest is history.

I've no idea how they've ended up like they have. But, when I lived there, they were a division above Man City yet all you saw kids wearing on the streets were City shirts. Never once saw a County shirt when shopping or whatever.

I saw us beat County down there once, Hristov scored, and Shipperley. Great night that.

They wore other clothing, to go with the shirt though. Just in case Rolf is reading tonight.
