What a bundle of laughs he is Maybe he would be happier donating his millions to people who would appreciate it - like me for example - just 1 million would do and we would both be happier
Wishes he'd never made the money, says he's going to give it all away, reckons he could do that tomorrow, but hasn't actually done so. What does that tell you? Always tomorrow. Some people will make their mouths say owt. Particularly rich people who claim they don't want or need their money, but always cling on to it. Not that he should give it away, it's his money, he can do what he likes with it and there's no doubt he gives some money to charity (the interest on his interest) but don't complain about having a load of money, which is easily remedied, we've all got real problems. Not that it's a very good article. It's not a full hatchet job, but it's clearly designed to portray him as a miserable old bugger, when there's more to him than that. But he should stop giving people the ammunition. Either keep your money or give it away, but don't keep it and talk about giving it away because that's ********.
Hmm, part of the general media campaign to set UKIP as loons Not that they need any help with that like, but if he was bankrolling the Tories the Mail would have him as a kindly philanthropic gent.
We all learn from our mistakes, and the 650 million begging letters that's about to rain down on him should make sure he'll not make the same mistake again
Nothing quite as heartwarming, as a filthy rich Barnsley person leaving Barnsley, telling everyone how he's just a modest man from Barnsley, and how he really wishes he didn't have all his money. Lovely.
so it would be "He looked after his tomato plants in the greenhouse, he was a verger at the church, he went down pit and he invested in Barnsley football club - isnt that a square? To say nothing about the going down pit being portrayed as an idyllic lifestyle
Shame he doesn't see fit to invest some of that money in the town, instead of whining about how he doesn't want it or need it. Typical rich *******.
No...he can't go down pit now so I meant that BFC can replace that in the triangle. Actually, from that description of his dad, I think I found my long lost brother! Ayup ar Paul!
What a sad empty little man. His money could be used to good effect and perhaps give him some happiness or fulfilment. Instead he uses it for division and fear. I lurch between pity and contempt.
He was a knob at school and still is. Money does not make you educated. If he thinks UKIP is tells the truth he is a bigger knob than I thought. They tell you what you want to hear. I think a chap in Germany started the trend off
Knew a chap who went to work for him, basically to invest his money in things which would make a bigger return than the bank. I believe he owned like the Victoria Arcade in Leeds, etc. Sounded like an interesting bloke to work for!!!
The most important man in Barnsley who has the ability to actually lift the prestige of Barnsley as a town is Pat Cryne. Because of his greater wealth, if Paul Sykes took over Barnsley Football Club then he would have a greater ability to lift the prestige of the town. So obviousy.........I would welcome Paul Sykes involvement with Barnsley Football Club with open arms. If Paul Sykes wants to do something for Barnsley, the town he comes from, then he should buy Barnsley Football Club. As for his comments about his wealth; I believe him, because I have yet to meet a wealthy person that is totally happy. And as for his comments in relation to politics..........he's spot on..........and that's why I will be voting UKIP next week. Three things Hate windfarms........rich landowners getting £70 payments from us every year through increases in our electricity bills to have them on their land. Hate the Common Agricultural Policy.......because all of us pay £100s per year on increased food bills to subsidise wealthy farmers. Dislike the fact that eastern Europeans are pushing the wages down of people on or near minimum wage and also taking jobs that British youths should be doing. So yes, i'll be supporting Paul Sykes
The big three parties give a lot of spin, but not like the **** UKIP and Farage give out. Our country would be up the spout worse than now if they got in
