    As much as I dislike UKIP & suspect them of being closet racists I think this article shouldn't have been written.

    We do still live in a democratic country.

    I always judge a chippy myself on how good the mushy peas are.

    Don't see the problem. People can vote for whoever they want. People shouldn't dislike someone for believing in something different to themselves. Now if they had failed food hygeine you'd have had a point.

    Depends what it is they believe in, surely? I dislike people who have racist, homophobic & sexist views. I dislike these people intensely, specifically because of their views.

    Of course everyone is entitled to their view (unless that view manifests in action that is ultimately illegal).

    But everyone is entitled to spend their money where they see fit too. And it may not be unreasonable for some people to decide not to pay money for goods or services from a specific company which generates profit for an owner/s that may assist fund activities in a political party that they perceive to be against their morals.

    I used to drink in a pub where the landlord is a Socialist. I disagree with his views, but still drink there. If someone has a different view to me, it neither stops me being a friend nor using a particular business.

    chippy on park road next to petrol station. best chippy in barnsley! lush, proper portions and doesn't cost a fortune. and them lads put a shift in. open from like midday til 11pm....sadly for Woody's fans they're neither white, nor english

    I boycott them because they bought a viable pub and turned it into a chippy.

    Yes they are free to have whatever views they want, and people are entitled to decide where they want to take their business.

    Just tried that chippy in Old Town, the one with the little old lady who takes an age to do everything but doesn't care! I didn't care either cos she was lovely! The fish & chips were £3.25 & mushy peas were only 30p! Bargain & beautiful!
