I bet Barry and Ben had nowt to do with this, what with them having no connections to Hull... ***** friendly.
Its not that long ago that Hull were a steady third / fourth division side, fast forward a few years and look at the difference.
Wednesday and Hull at Oakwell. Be good tests for us, to be fair like. But very 'meh' in terms of attraction. I won't be attending either I'm afraid. Got a family do on the 2nd August, and can't be arsed with Hull.
Maybe a thanks to Barry for supporting their barmy idea of a name change. Neither friendly has any interest for me. I thought last year with foreign teams with a different way of playing and a different culture was a good thing. Now we are back to same old *****.
Would like to see another team like Bordeaux come and play us, good side where it might attract some people to come down.
Athletico Madrid would be a coup, Spanish and potential European Champs ........................ ffs, seriously on a stick. Some need a reality check. Likey or no likey we are not a big club any more, and even when we were, we weren't that big. Only in our own hearts and minds. Wendies and Hull are about as glamorous as it gets - I'm just hoping the Hull match isn't part of any arrangements to sign Prosky-witch on a permy.
Shows how much the tables have turned, I always remember Hull being a nothing team from the lower divisions Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Some folk on here use any opportunity to have a dig at Barry Taylor or ben mansford even for arranging a friendly against premiership opposition. Stop moaning and get a grip! Put some effort into getting behind the management and ownership.
I don't get excited about a friendly against Hull. I've been following us for 26 years, and Hull have been a shitty little lower league club for much of that time, so just because they're enjoying a year or two in the greed league spotlight, doesn't stop me seeing them as a ***** draw in terms of attractive opposition in a pre season friendly. Just my opinion like. Got a grip. And will always moan. I'm that type of bloke/lovely person.
Yep. Was an argument with another supporter, and then a scrap with the steward who got involved. And then me and r old boy swung a few fists at each other. Aaaaahhhhh. Memories. ******* Richard Naylor.
Quite happy with the Wednesday & Hull games. Much rather play local-ish teams from higher leagues than someone like West Brom who we played 2 seasons ago & let's face it we aren't a draw for a top 8 prem side or a foreign team like Bordeaux now we're in the 3rd tier
