Anyone get them? Any tips on how to get rid? I had a stinker last night, very nearly threw up because of it, and missed Fargo ffs.
I had loads when I was 16/17. Couldn't see, throwing up, couldn't even talk. I read that caffeine and E numbers could cause migraines. So I stopped drinking tea and coffee, and would no longer eat or drink anything containing E numbers. Migraines stopped. Never had another one, until.. About 10 years ago I was in hospital and I asked me mam to bring me a bottle of dilute orange. Had a few glasses of that and within a couple of days I had my first migraine in over a decade. Looked on the dilute pop bottle and it contained E numbers. Didn't drink any more and didn't get another migraine. Then, about 3 years ago, I decided to have a cup of tea. Had a few more over the course of the next couple of weeks and had a migraine. Stopped drinking tea again, haven't had a migraine since.
Aye, horrible. Not sure what triggers them for me, but I get the full blown throwing up thing. I have had a medicine in the cabinet for a couple of years, but not had to use it, thankfully. Best tip, catch it early and take something sharpish, get to bed. Dehydration, coffee I think could be the culprits.
I've had them for years, I've tried everything from cutting foods out to healthy diets nothing seems to get rid of them . I'm now on a daily tablet that's finally reduced them to about three a month I wouldn't wish them on anyone. They obviously improve during in the summer break and return beginning of August.
Appreciate the responses everyone, will give a few a go. I get them probably about twice a month on average over the year. They literally do my head in. Only thing I find gets rid is a good sleep, and that occasionally doesn't. I am a tight arse when it comes to buying medication.
I'm talking about when I was at school, up to about 10 I suffered then they just stopped and i've never had one since. I'm glad you noticed me dying
I'd say they're not proper migraines if you're thinking about the cost. Any time I've had one I've been sure my life was coming to an end and would have paid whatever money I had in my current account to make it stop. Get yourself a migraleve kit... less than tenner. It's there if the worst happens.
