And Labour take Penistone West from the Conservatives - looks like UKIP split to Tory vote.

 

Looks like they are getting 700+ to 800+ votes in each ward contested.

i can see why people want an alternative to labour....not exactly done owt for us have they over the decades?.... Steve Houghton and his cronies are a prime example.

I didn't vote myself..... i am in the 'all politicains are liars and in it for their own interests' camp.

I think this is more of a reflection of the failure of the three main parties than anything else. Ironically the UKIP vote is damaging the Tories more than anyone else.

 

UKIP would have won a lot more seats up here if the Conservatives had not put a candidate up.

 

In the past we have had Lib Dems, Liberals, Independants and a Doctor buying votes to try and oust Labour, Ukip is the latest in a long line of protest vote.

Good to see the UKip vote collapsed in my ward. Not a single person voted for them. Although, that could be something to do with them not putting up a candidate.

 

It's always been Tory.

 

It's got it down as a Labour gain on the website, which is odd as Labour won the seat in the last local elections in 2012.

Can't see any evidence of a by-election since then.

 

It's a Labour rigged election. Well, according to a UKIP supporter on Facebook who couldn't vote for them because there wasn't one standing in his ward. It's not UKIP's fault for not having a candidate, NO! It's Labours fault!

 

Or maybe people aren't too scared to say it, they just know that it's a load of crap and not worth saying.
