Always go for Adidas these days and they're usually between £50 and £70.

Usually try and pick some up for around £35 in clearance sections or in sales if I'm going on holiday and then just use them as everyday trainers after the holiday, if not I usually spend anywhere from £50 upwards on a pair.

Can't go wrong with Gazelle's pal, I got a pair with a solid white sole a couple of months ago and love em. Had Grand Prix and City Collection before them and never had a bad pair, well worth the money. Tell her to get stuffed and get some bought.

I only have one pair, Adidas Beckenbaur Allrounds, and I think they cost about £60 but they normally last me about three years so pretty good value really.

Quality them nightmare. Can't beat a good pair of suede gazelles. Long lasting too. Usually get a pair a year.

These are very retro but I won't wear anything else, I think modern trainers are awful.

Shes not saying i can't have um, shes saying shes not buying um for me, we have our own spending money each week once we've paid bills so i can get them myself if i want and i will do, but she asked what i wanted then went off as though it was way too much to pay for trainers.

20 years ago you paid about £70 for a decent pair of Nike / Adidas trainers...now the same sort of thing is about £45-£50. One of the few things to have gone down in price over the years.
