well I spend whatever it takes to get the best for my feet . I have a problem called 'Plantar Fascitus" notsure if I have spelled that right. Basically its kinda like tendonitis but in your foot. So I need trainers that shock absorb , give support under the arch and ankle support if poss I have got some for a cheap .. around £50 ... some for medium around £75... but have bought some £100 + as they bloody worked .. and sometimes the relief is well worth the cost.
Re: well I spend i got these ones super samba Mate as a problem with his feet he'll only wear Skechers trainers shoes boots and work boots says its a fortnight of work if he wears anything else might be same as you pal he says its all about arch support and their best at it
been looking into Skechers but cannot seem to get any locally... if their is a Skechers work boot I am very interested .. any website at all ?
Re: well I spend Not often I wear trainers any more to be honest. Spend way too much on shoes though. I'm going to get a new pair of trainers soon however, for my hols. They'll be upwards of £50 I would imagine. I remember getting some Air Max once for £125. Used to buy Reebok Classics a lot. These days, I'm a Puma or Adidas man. Retro's.
Re: been looking into Skechers we order our boots from a book at work, but can't remember the name of it, they have just about every make you can think of, i always get cat boots me last years
Re: been looking into Skechers I just got a pair for £20 on Asos. Should have been £50 but they're not a sports brand or owt.
Re: well I spend Feels like the tendons in the arch of your foot are being ripped? I get that sometimes, never known a name for it. I call it dropped arches. Or is that sumert else?
I think £60 is a reasonable figure to pay for trainers. But saying that are they just to wear or are they to run in? I have two pairs of Asics trainers. The £60 pair I run in. The £40 pair are worn casually. So IMHO £60 is fine if they have a sporty function but not just for fashion a £40 pair would suffice.
Haha fair enough mate. It's up to you how much you pay obviously but in my opinion it's worth the extra money.
I pay about sixty quid a pair but I keep an eye out on the addidas website for end of range sales. I now own 13 pairs of gazelles, Three tiger onisuka and some sambas I wear for fishing in summer.
Quite possibly something to do with the country of origin (and quality!). I expect a brand new pair of vietnamese Converse to last me a year to 18 months tops before the sole starts letting in water / detaches completely. I am also still wearing the original USA manufactured pair I bought in Florida

I am also still wearing the original USA manufactured pair I bought in Florida when I was 14 (I'm now 36). No coincidence that one particular pair has lasted over 20 years longer than the others.
Just bought some beautiful limited edition mint green Stan Smiths almost too lovely to wear. Knocked a few quid off what I paid when I told the missis obviously. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I have over 25 pair of adidas in my wardrobe, 6 of which are the city editions from either 2008 or 2010. There price range from 120-300 now on ebay. I'm a massive trainer freak if I'm honest. Also got a few pair of Mexico 66s (tigers) and a pair of puma Dallas.
Yeah never thought about it like that, can't say I remember ever getting expensive trainers when I was a kid, Gola and Hi-Tek was about the limit for me! Was a bit ridiculous that Nike Air Max's were about £120 in 1995 though, that must have been about a weeks wages for a lot of people.
I never run, only do the bike so I either wear some Shimano cycling boots (they were £70 but think I got ripped off as much cheaper online) and if I can't be bothered with them (still find clipping/unclipping a bit dodgy) I wear a pair of Reebok trainers I've had about six years. Prefer 'shoey' type trainers so normally get a pair of Vans every six months or so, between £45 and £55, they do tend to fall to pieces after about 9 months though if worn 3/4 times a week.
Arrow AstroTurf trainers for me as a kid, it didn't matter where I was. I was kicking a ball so I ended up with astro turf trainers all the time because they lasted until I grow out of them
