Re: thats correct mate. Sorry. but with all due respect that is utter ********! And if you are going to use the name of Lee Rigby to make your point, have the decency to get his name right!
Re: thats correct mate. It's definitely the first time I've heard UK membership of the EU blamed for 9/11
Re: its this simple Pinball.. they vote labour because Strange how it's wrong for people to denigrate folk for voting UKIP but you seem to think it's fine to lump folk together and to know why they vote Labour. Never mind that people are rejecting the politics of hate and division that UKIP are feeding on. The thing is that regeneration in the South Yorkshire coalfields has been funded by EU money, something we wouldn't have got otherwise.
Have you thought not take a walk round wakefield rotherham donny town centers our kids are going to schools where the firat language spoken is not english you need to wake up
Re: its this simple Pinball.. they vote labour because So please do tell...who should white, working class people vote for? The Tories who look after the upper class? You show the same contempt for people that you claim to despise! Are Labour ideal? No....but they are better than the alternatives.
Re: its this simple Pinball.. they vote labour because You sound like a UAFer or a Socialist Worker or something. You're not really in touch with the majority of working-class people i don't think.
Re: its this simple Pinball.. they vote labour because Not Labour, look at this photo from the front page of the BBC News site, blacks and Asians are the only ones happy to see Ed Miliband: Like I said, they're the party for Hampstead liberals and ethnic minorities now.
Re: its this simple Pinball.. they vote labour because Yep, you've convinced me. There's a guy in a turban, some assorted Asians and a person in sunglasses with a mohawk. And Ed Miliband. I can't stand the guy, but is this this really the highest level of political debate you can come up with?
Re: sorry mate but you are sooo naive While the UKIP MEP's are claiming their allowances from the EU yet never attending. Farage boasts he has claimed £2million. Hypocrisy? http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2009/may/24/mps-expenses-ukip-nigel-farage
I love the argument about the party of the working classes and that would the the one led by millionaire stockbroker Nigel Farage who wants to end pretty much all employment rights. In another lifetime I was responsible for presenting evidence to the Low Pay Commission when Labour were setting up the National Minimum Wage. Part of my job was to go round the county doing research on low pay some of the stories were heartbreaking. Blokes with families earning £1.48 an hour for a full time job. Families were the principal earner, often female who's household income was less than £100 quid a week. At least at the time the cost of living was cheaper now with the cost of food and housing those sort of wages would lead to mass homelessness and probably the setting up of some sort of workhouses for the poor. This is the world that Farage and chums want. Make no mistake this is their real agenda. I am disillusioned with the main political parties I am not particularly enamoured with the political system. Of course immigration present challenges. It always did from The Vikings to Powell's rivers of blood speech. Less than 50 years ago "no blacks" signs on the boarding houses of central London were prevalent and racially motivated attacks common. Scare stories were in the press about the impact of the wave of immigration. As things change they stay the same. It saddens me that instead of looking for a positive solution to these problems people are lured in by the politics of negativity of division of hatred. 30 years ago people from round here were the enemy within. The target of smears and hatred from the rich and the press and people like Farage. We above all else should understand how the rich scapegoat people for their own aims. How they will stop at nothing to destroy what they perceive to be a threat. It seems that sadly these lessons have been forgotten and that we are welcoming the politics of division (now that we are not the target). We need to remember the violence unleashed against us. The attacks on our communities both political and actual. If you are worried about the impact of immigration there's nothing wrong with that it's natural particularly for those in unskilled jobs who are most vulnerable to freedom of labour. But engage with people who won't destroy everything that working class people have struggled for, have fought in wars for. Stimulate debate not hatred. Accept the independent evidence that migration causes a net economic benefit there is little real academic dispute there. Ask politicians to study the social impact of immigration which has not been really done adequately. When this has been done then a balanced overview can be taken. Does economic benefit outweigh social costs (if indeed there are any). From there the debate can move on. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/england/8609891.stm http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/ugly-face-ukip-sunday-mirror-1531879 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Re: its this simple Pinball.. they vote labour because Wow, that's convinced me - one photo, that I don't know where it was taken, and he's meeting some people. p.s. I also see a white guy there as well holding his hand out.
Excellent post. Divide and rule that's the way they operate. "Forget the mess we've made with our neo-liberal politics, blame the immigrant." Sadly some people were given a vote but not an ounce of common sense.
Re: hers another sandal wearer That has got to be the weirdest statement about the effects of immigration I've seen on here. And chicken tikka masala was developed in Scotland. So I'm blaming Arabian Ian. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_Tikka_Masala
Re: its this simple Pinball.. they vote labour because So then how should immigration work?Do you think its ok to open all the borders up and just let anyone entre who feels like it? Like I said before the Rascist flag is waved to stop debate,i,e, if you don`t agree with Labour party policy your a rascist,I`m beginning the think the word should be banned. My view on immigration is it should be controlled,by the govenment of Britain, people who come here should be skilled, have a job.And another thing people who refuse to work, bang kids out as a meal ticket shouldn`t get a thing,if you don`t pay anything in you get nowt out
