When/where do people go out these days? I came back to see some mates and everywhere we went was empty!

Bank Holiday perhaps, folks saving for all day Sunday. Heard it was very busy in Tarn yesterday.

Why pay £4 or £5 and drink for summat crap n watered down when supermarkets do cheap deals.

Much easier n cheaper to stay in these days.

Bet there's not much change from £100 from a night in town these days.

Also pubs have no life or character from when I used to go out.

    Dollys
    Maceys
    White Hart
    Old Pavilion
    Silvers
    Japanese Whispers
    Rad n Lib club

I've never heard of any of those places except Silvers. I spent less than a tenner (not including petrol), but then again I don't drink.

To be fair, that's only a tenner on ale. The other £90 is in wildcats

We met at 10.00pm. There seemed to be a few people out on Wellington Street, but that was about it.

Wildcats is terrible, I was expecting the sort of places you see in films, with women dancing everywhere and dollar bills being thrown about. (Pound coins do present a problem in that situation, however).

We did a strange route. Bramhas (before I arrived), Opium, Corner Pin, Esmeraldos, Che then Rios. We normally do what you said, but people wanted different places.

Each to there own but the route we take seems fairly busy and a good atmosphere. Some mates at work say tarns dead on Saturday neet, because they go on wellie street at 8pm . Arr well .

Living in Leeds, going back out in town on a night is depressing.

Only stay out after matches now, even then look forward to getting back to pub/bars in Leeds.

Yeah, I live in Leeds now too. I used to think Barnsley was an amazing night out, I was always going on to people on my course about it.

Barnsley is a wonderful place to live and work.

    Steve Houghton says so.........

personally i think it is a desperate dump by day full of scroats........and i don't go out at night enough nowadays to comment really....but sounds pretty quiet by the comments on here.

    hope this helps
