My point is the fee will have been agreed collectively, among a group of people. Danny Wilson included. I find it strange that people are targeting one person. And if it is one person's decision - which I doubt it is - that person is not Ben Mansford Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dagnall's played his whole career at a lower level and has never scored 15 league goals in a season in League 1. In fact he's never even scored 10. So maybe not so easy to replace after all... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Let's break it down a bit further. There are large amounts of people blaming a number of people at the club for a sale that hasn't yet occurred, for a fee we have no idea about, for a player we have no idea as to what his intentions or communications with the club have been, with a contract we have no idea what clauses are included, with an agent whose actions we're unaware of. But whatever happens, it is ultimately the CEO on behalf of the shareholders (Cryne) who has final say and authority. They may take guidance and advice from others, and i'm glad thats the case, but they are ultimately responsible for their decisions.
Shame that COG is going , one of the players that would give us an edge in Div 1, a bit depressing really
I think we're agreeing that Ben Mansford is not solely responsible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Missing the point - if we are ever to survive in the Championship again, unlike last time, we need to get promoted with a team and players who can make an impact at the higher level. COG is probably the only player we have in that category.
How hard are people behind the scenes trying to move the club forward? An owner who wants out. A front man who speaks untruths. A board member who likes prawn sandwiches.
Was never any doubt he was going, just where n when. We always snap up the first crap offer, done it for 45 years to my knowledge and long before that no doubt, nothing has changed here no matter what sound bites the current crop in charge come out with
If you're the one wanting to sell the true value is what the buyer is willing to pay so it makes no difference what our club value him at, I think it's quite clear they want him off the wage bill otherwise they'd not let him go so with that the buyer offer well below true value and offers the player a few more quid to make sure he signs if ever we buy another player I hope we try and do the same
I can't comment, as I don't know what our budget is and how it compares with the other L1 clubs. Do you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mansford . That mine of non-information. Everything a covert operation. Nowts ever to do wi the supporters (but give us yer money anyway). He that openly admits he thinks the job as a CEO is to avoid answering questions. Everything that Barnsley as a community is not.
Erm.... Has anyone got an actual link to anything that says he's been given permission to talk to Charlton?
He might have been consulted but I highly doubt the final decision is his. We should be hearing from the board if/when the transfer is completed.
I remember thinking at the time that that was a very stupid/naive thing to say. We all know it's true, but you don't openly admit it!!
