People can't have it both ways. It's either run professionally as a business (and that means trying to be a discrete as possible) or having it run like an open book so every other club knows what was paid for players etc.. etc..

The thing is, it's easy for everyone on here to do a better job, but in truth none could.

 

And some people said he's not being honest. Yet when he's honest about his position, what happens?

 

I'm not sure that being honest about being dishonest (sort of), really counts.

 

I thought he said his job was to avoid answering questions? That's not necessarily being dishonest?

 

Hence the '(sort of)'.

I think Ben will say that in comparison to Athersley Rec we have a very competitive budget so they won’t be outbidding us for any players. #perspective .

 

Yeah we've four members on our board and i'm not particularly confident in any of them either. Obviously we will announce the fee as undisclosed and use the excuse of not wanting other teams to know how much money we got. Truth is though i'm sure it's piss easy to find out any undisclosed fee for any player if a club really wanted to, so clubs who want to know how much our undisclosed fee for COG is will find out anyway.
