    Steve Claridge every time we played one of his gazillion teams. Socks rolled down, arrogant whinger, sore loser and a nasty, dirty, cynical footballer. He's not done anything to endear himself to me with his appearances on the FLS either.

    Last season it was Grant Holt. Big mouthy bully who is more interested in the 'afters' with opponents than playing the game.

    Gordon Strachen. Playing for Leeds at oakwell. We played the ball out for an injured Leeds player and from the throw in Leeds kept the ball and mounted an attack. Barnsley player trying to take a long throw into the area and Strachen stood on the line to prevent the throw. And finally Leeds got a penalty and Strachen was stood on the line talking to our keeper to ruin his concentration.

    I remember Micky Quinn playing against us for Oldham.He took a dive in the box waited till the ref gave the pen then looked up to the Barnsley fans winked and smiled.He took a lot of abuse after that.Boundary Park December 1984
