Good article and interview in todays Chronicle. He gets stick for been the so called "invisible man" but no praise when he does an interview.Thumbs up from me Barry.
And from me too. It is too easy to snipe at people who are in the public domain, so to speak, particularly if their names are Parkinson, Bird or Taylor, and they are from Barnsley. And to be quite honest that let's us down as a people. We should admire our success stories not demonise them for being a success story. It reminds me of a comment made to me when I was in the States years ago. My U.S. Colleague said to me, "the trouble with you Limeys is, you're full of envy of success. Here in the States, if you see a guy in a Rolls Royce, you think I' m going to work hard and get one of those. In the UK you just say, 'why should that guy have a car like that',
The good old Horatio Alger myth! I'm not sure what BT's success actually is.... Dickie is a great bloke and a great advocate for Tarn. Parky isn't from Barnsley as far as I can tell these days. He's from some time in the 50's.
Praise for doing an interview? Speaking to someone for ten minutes. Well done Bazza. Apparently Mansford has just finished a cup of tea. Well done Ben.
Presumably the american who said that to you is blind deaf or just stupidly ignorant to the views of people in his own country
I read the article. What does he do ? We wouldn't have gone into admin if..... Etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
