Yeah I've had one since not long after they came out as a replacement for an iPhone 4S, brilliant phone and although it's a lot cheaper than the other top phones, I actually preferred it because you don't get the useless "bloatware" that Samsung/HTC/Sony put on their phones so it's just plain Android, you also get new updates first (with HTC you are lucky to get any Android updates and if you do they are months and months after release by which time another update has come out). The only thing that's bugging me with it at the minute is the battery seems to be dieing, not holding charge very well. I had the same issue with the iPhone although that was after about 14 months, this battery seems to have lasted barely 8 months so I'm going to have to get it replaced...thankfully the back can easily be removed with a plectrum! I think the camera is meant to be better on the Samsung, HTC and Sony phones but, to be honest, all mobile phone cameras seem absolutely sh*te to me. I've got a DSLR (only an entry level one) and next to that even the best phone cameras take ridiculously bad pictures, they look so dull colourwise and with everything in view at the same level of focus, so I don't really use the camera on the phone for anything special. It pains me to see at some weddings, where maybe they couldn't afford a professional photographer, that the only cameras used by anyone are the ones built into their phones. Even the 50 quid bottom of the pile digital cameras from Argos are still better than anything you'd get in a mobile phone.
I guess the LG Nexus 5 is the 'best' Nexus phone, being as it is the latest one. Gets decent reviews too. But value wise you could argue that one of the older Nexus phones like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (I still use one of these) is a better choice if you're moving from a simple phone and only want internet access. Beware though that Google has stopped catering for the Galaxy Nexus in terms of updates so Jelly Bean is the last officially supported update. Still, that's not a terrible thing.
Did you mean which is the best Nexus, or which is the best smart phone? Nexus is a brand owned by Google. It's the name they use for their smart phones and tablets. The Nexus 5 is a smart phone, the Nexus 7 and 10 are tablets. The best Nexus phone is the Nexus 5 as it's the only one they currently produce. It's probably the only one you'll be able to buy new or get on a contract. If you were buying second hand the older versions will be available. If it is only Nexus you are interested in, then they are considered to be very good phones. Well, mobile communication devices, no one uses them to make phone calls any more. You can actually buy a good mobile phone for £20. If you're asking which is the best smart phone (a mobile phone that'll connect to the internet, run apps and all the rest of the fancy stuff) then the list is as long as your arm, if you've got arms as long as Mr Tickle. I guess the first question you have to ask is how much you want to pay. For example, the Nexus 5 retails at £299 for the 16GB version, £339 for 32GB at the Google store, a bit cheaper on Amazon. Expect to pay upwards of £20 per month if you get it on a contract. You've three initial options depending on what operating system you want to run: Android, iphone (Apple's mobile phone), or a windows phone. Then which manufacturer you want to go with. I'd prefer the rx450, but at £44,945.00 OTR, it's a bit pricey So I'll probably go for the ct200h, £20,995.00 is still top end of the budget though What kind of budget do you have? Would you go for 2nd hand? I'll get mi coat
Samsung's Touchwiz interface is pretty poor and laggy whereas Nexus uses (almost) stock Android and much zippier. Of course it depends on the processor as well, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will still be quicker (but not slicker) than the Nexus 5 because it has a faster processor, but there's not much in it.
2 days is good enough for me on full settings mate, it just depends how much you use it suppose Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Just a couple of points to add to Jay's post regarding budget phones Unless you need games or a very high quality camera, I personally don't see the need to spend a bomb. A decent budget handset missing from that PC Advisor list is the EE Kestrel 4G Furthermore their number 1 - the Moto G - is about to be replaced by the Moto G 4G, which is slated for a June 30th release. Apart from the 4G, it has a memory card slot for expandable storage. It will retail at £159 SIM free and hopefully a bit less as a PAYG handset. It will also hopefully bring the price of the original 3G version crashing.
