Had to do a drop off in Stannington and a bloke answers the door and gets on about football claiming 'if Wednesday don't get the play offs at least next season then it will be a disaster for Yorkshire' he also went on to say how it's such a shame to see them having to play teams like Barnsley and Doncaster for the last few years. When I told him I was a barnsley fan he then said 'see at the mecca we should have been welcoming the likes of Chelsea not barnsley'....

At this point I had to laugh! I just couldn't help myself! He didn't seem too impressed when I told him to wake up! What an embarrassment that lot are, what is with the 'we deserve champions league' attitude they all have? It baffles me.

That's why I'm happy for them.

Just watch them implode next season when **** all positive comes of it.

At the moment, most fans are secretly hoping their clubs are taken over by some rich Sheik or someone with more money than sense to get some success - as that seems to be the defining factor.

No club has a divine right to be in any division, history is history. We've been in the second tier for most of our history but that means nothing, yo-yoing between the 2nd and 3rd is probably the best we can hope for at the minute as we are scratching around with a clutch of clubs who are relying on their attendances only for money. If more and more clubs continue to be taken over with big investment then unfortunately that would see confined to the third tier at best.

FFP was supposed to put an end to the culture of owners not really giving a sh*t how much they spent and how much debt they put a club into, but as we've seen it's a completely futile directive with more loopholes than a Christmas jumper.

 

spoke to a young lad in Sheffield Costco today,he's an owl and is chuffed someone has taken them over,he also said he wished someone would take us over so we stand a chance of moving forwards,they arnt all toss pots at Hillsborough,though,admittedly after reading owlstalk they do seem to have more than their fair share
