    England for me.....

In all seriousness I did fancy Germany this year, if you look at that midfield line up its frightening! But I do think the climate will be fighting against them. I can't for the life of me seeing brazil lift the cup either so I'm going for Argentina... They haven't brought an awful lot to the big stages in recent years which to me is astonishing when you look at the squad they have available. I think big game players like Messi will be hungrier than ever considering the last day drama at the Nou Camp, so my votes with those filthy Argies! :)

Spain for me. Had a good bet at what I think is decent value as well.

Individually brilliant and proven to be a formidable team. Shouldn't think the conditions will make much difference based on their style either. One of the few nations where you can't say.. 'they look a bit weak there.' Bit of talk about forwards including Torres and Villa but they'll only play Costa anyway and if he's injured they'll probably revert to none up front.

I'm having a few quid on Chile, Ivory Coast and Belgium.

    So, one of them.

I honestly fancy a dark horse for some reason, and all three have some of the world's best players in their teams. If I had to stick with just the one, I'd go with Belgium.

I'll be amazed if Brazil don't win it to be honest. It will all slot into place for the home nation I reckon.

Is there a way I can back Belgium to be on the first plane home? Yes they've got a few decent individuals at the minute but so have most teams who qualify for the World Cup.

Courtois or Mignolet in goal; Alderwiereld, Kompany, Vermaelen and Vertonghen at the back; Witsel, Dembele, Fellaini in midfield; Mirallas, Lukaku and Hazard up top. With De Bruynne, Januzaj, Van Buyten, Defour, Benteke and Chadli in reserve.

It's some ******* squad that. But I fear their midfield lacks a proper star. The lad Witsel is class, as was Fellaini until he went to Man Utd. That's the area they're weak in though. Can see them passed through easily. But that back four is immense. And up top? Struggling to think of a more frightening trio.

But yes, knocked out in the group stages now I've tipped them, losing the opener 1-0 to Algeria. :)

Hard to beat, cynical when required, can score goals, know the climate reasonably well.

    Outside bet.

I agree about Belgium, fantastic squad. Just think it'll be a South American side that wins it. What odds are Chile btw, might consider an ew on them? I've got Ivory Coast in the sweep at work, some excellent players but a few not that good, don't fancy them at all. Hope you're right.

Can't see past a south american side winning it.
    Argentina, Brazil or Uruguay.

Suarez or messi to be top scorer.
