.....but our failure to make a single signing yet this summer is getting seriously worrying. Particularly now that we are getting beaten to players we are interested in by the likes of Port Vale. Christ that makes me sound like a Wednesday fan I know, but Mansford's claim about our budget being competitive is looking a bit hollow. Competitive with who?
No new signings and worries that our better players could yet leave is not much of a confidence booster with pre-season only 3 weeks away. The club and fans need the boost of a 2 or 3 signings and quickly.

Exactly. There is no cause for concern. None whatsoever.

 

A blind man can see what we're doing we're scrimping and scrapping around for the cheapest players and holding on as long as possible to get them as cheap as possible, then the powers that be will tell Wilson to tell everyone he got the players he wanted in the end, not mentioning the 5 or 6 we missed out on due to having the tightest board of directors known to man, then once the cheap ***** fail it's all Wilson's fault he's sacked and we start again with some other poor b,astard having to work with the wa'nkers, it's happening year on year and they've no idea how to change it . Until the clubs run right we're always going to struggle .

Never said I didn't moan I said I didn't slag the players off which I don't, I moan about the club and powers that be at the club, because it's their fault, the way the club is run is the reason the players we have are *****, it's not the players fault their playing at a level that's too strong for them it's the club because they only employ players willing to play for the wages clubs a league below us pay, I moan about the right things you moan about everything even when we win

 

Nothing ever happens in June. It will all start after the world cup. Most players, managers and agents are on their holidays at this point and contracts don't expire in most cases until 30/6. Far too early to panic ..... but it happens on here every year at this point

 

Fortunately, I'm not blind. I recently had my eyes tested at a high street chain who will find some reason to prescribe almost everyone a pair of glasses, but they couldn't find fault with my eyesight. I don't see any of the above. What you've described may well be what a blind man sees, for those of us that can actually see the story is much different.

 

Don't think people on hear are panicking.
Their just expressing utter frustration at the lack of activity at Oakwell.
Wilson will have irons in the fire but being realistic how many of these deals will reach fruition?
I fear we will end up with the left overs after our main targets are lured to more attractive clubs than Ours.

Well what I've seen is the same ***** for years, a board with no ******, we need to be taking risks in the summer transfer window paying a little extra in wages and having a go, but we're going about it all wrong again, the better players will no what they're worth just pay it get them in now

How do you know? How do you know what they're doing behind the scenes? Unless you're there watching them then you don't, and you're not, so you don't. For all you know we may have already signed up six players. We've done similar in the past, people have been bairning on and on about no transfer activity, then the club have announced a clutch of signings on the same day, some that had been completed weeks ago. I'm not saying that is the case this time, I don't know, but neither do you. What I do know is that we have exactly the same every year at this time, but we do sign players and contrary to popular belief, not all of them are ****. If we go on Wilson's previous transfer dealings with us, the majority of them are bloody good.
