Just the sort of signing I was hoping we would make young and hungry for success. Can't wait to see him score some goals for us **** the doom mongers.

Exactly. A division above us. And because he's playing in Scotland, we don't have to pay a fee, and I'm presuming he'll not be on much of a wage. It's as Jimmy says above, exactly the type of player I was hoping we'd be in for. A rough diamond. A gamble. Low cost.

If he's ****, he's ****. But being BFC, we're very unlikely to go out and sign a proven goalscorer who's young and costs money. We never do. Because we're BFC. I often wonder what the BBS would have made of Clint Marcelle and Arjan de Zeeuw signing for us back in the day....

 

I think the majority would have been intrigued and a bit excited, and one or two would have posted five threads a day to bitch about it. Sound familiar?

We all know who the moaners are - the fact that they don't shut up about their half-baked opinions and appear to have nothing else to do apart from fill up the board with pessimistic nonsense doesn't mean they're 'the BBS'.

For goodness sake. Moan and groan for weeks about no signings, then sign a player and still moan & groan.

Give me strength. We're never gonna sign Ronaldo or Messi ffs, give the players a chance will you?

Well, the last young striker with a reputation that we signed was Pedersen last year. Ok, only a loan (which adds to my point) but cost us a reight penny in fees to club and agents as well as in wages. That turned out well dinnit?


In my time as a supporter, save for the three year period from 97 to 2000, we've never spent a lot of money on a young, proven, goalscorer. Never. Defined.



And even in that three year period, we didn't. Unless we're counting Hristov. Who wasn't proven.


BFC cannot afford that type of player, unless it's a young, proven goalscorer in a lower league. Such as Hemmings. I rest my case.

 

I can think of four strikers we signed for at least £1m.

Stop being a tit, James, and name me the lads you'd like signing. Or the divisions you'd want to recruit from. Give us a clue. Otherwise it just appears that you're moaning for the sake of it.

I usually defend you, and your right to moan etc. But that's when you're offering an opinion, adding to a discussion. At the minute your posts just read negatively for negative purposes. **** that.

Sheron, Shipperley, Ward, Hristov, Dyer etc.

Proven? Perhaps two or three were. Young? Just Georgi. Who wasn't proven.

 

Who do I want to sign? Players with proven ability at the level we are at. Not too much to ask now that we are out of the championship. A player from the Scottish second tier is not really what I had mind.

By the way, it wasn't me who mentioned Ronaldo and Messi. It was Tyke_67. I'm expecting the "why dont you go and support Man Utd" comment shortly.
