That's a lot for a L2 player, surely they can't say no to that. If they do, **** 'em... That can be spent elsewhere.

Hi mate, ignore the ignorance of some folk on here, what kind of player is he? To be honest I know very little about him. Would you say he's good enough to play in the championship? Cheers

He's played as a box to box midfielder for us for the last few years but he's much better when you've got him next to a holding midfielder and allow him to get forward, he scored 9 goals last season from CM and with the players we've brought in to compliment him i can see him easily getting 12-15 next season. He's one of the best passers in the bottom two divisions, he's not afraid to put in a proper tackle, but gets them spot on all the time, i could keep going on, but basically he's a complete midfielder, he's got everything you'd want from a midfielder and would be a good signing for a Championship club let alone League 1, IF he goes to you you've made a brilliant signing.

Sounds good. Probably end up at Sheff Utd.

Sounds a good player then. Plus his long term girlfriend can always come and brighten up our matches from the stands......

It's easy for us up here to take for granted how many local games we have a season. Can't be easy for you lot when even your most local league games are a trek. I bet going to Hartlepool away isn't very appealing.

Who is the best WAG we've had at Barnsley? Pedersen had a tidy mrs, and I remember Diego Leon doing well for a Spanish midget.

Ah but you have to look at the number of Plymouth exiles there are around the world. I've known a few over the years and they have all told me that Argyle have a huge fan base around the country so a lot of them will not have so far to travel to away games.

Some on here may sneer at the current situation that they find themselves in but Plymouth has the potential to be a huge club. Just need the right management (Pompey are the same and we all know what happened to them due to being run into the ground)

I wonder if PASALB is still going? (equivalent to our old London Branch)

Like Whitey said in another post, they've been around for 128 years and haven't achieved much. Chances are it's not going to happen for them now.

Who would have predicted that 97/98 was going to happen for us? Things just happen out of the blue sometimes and everyone wonders how it happened. Plymouth and their like may have a long way to climb back up but it's never too late. I can see their fans being might annoyed though if we poach one of their best players. Just like Orient fans were when we nabbed their captain. What a player he was - that Stephen Dawson chap. Oh, hang on......

Not so long ago Le Fondre was L2 player and turns out £500k was a bargain...

Rickie Lambert another who moved from Bristol Rovers to then L1 Southampton... If we went for experience at higher level the price would rise and the premier league and championship squad players we might attract may not have played much football, may be carrying injury or not played to their potential... and apart from transfer fee they would command higher wages.

What I am saying is if the lad is good enough, £200k could prove to be a good deal and isn't going to break the bank...

Far to often we gamble on the likes of Pedersen & Proschwitz rather than lower league talent e.g. Lambert & Le Fondre

If that's the case, we'd do well getting him for 200k. Yours is obviously going to be a slightly biased opinion, but he sounds like the sort of player we should be taking a gamble on. It's a far more appealing proposition than Brian Howard in my opinion.

His post is no different to the sort of posts Leyton Orient fans made about Dawson when we took him up a level
