Seriously, if Suarez has bitten someone again, what should the sanction be?

I mean, really, what do you do?

The first time was a six-game ban. The FA made it ten for the second offence.

Could he realistically be given 15-20? I don't think that'd be unfair as he doesn't seem to learn. Could also affect his 'dream move' to [whoever will pay him more than he gets now]...

However long it is, it should be without pay. That might teach him.

 

I'd stick him in naughty corner for 5 minutes

Well if I'd bit three different people I would imagine I'd be in a prison cell for a good while. But as footballers enter a parallel 'anything goes' universe when they step onto the pitch, I suppose it'll be a 10-15 game ban for club and country. The guy's got serious issues. He races back from injury, with the help of a seriously ill medic, has a blinder against England, then throws it all away. Madness.

 

To offer my own opinion, I think he should be banned from the rest of the world cup. The FA will bottle it because it's not on their territory. I think there's a chance that nothing will happen.

 

I'm a big fan of the Suarez the footballer but I think this might be the end of his World Cup.And whatever is thrown his way by FIFA he can have no complaints.Silly lad.

 

****** and burnt. I dunno. It can't keep happening, but neither should football turn its back on one of the world's best players who clearly has psychological problems. You might find that attitude namby pamby, but above all else Suarez is a human being and we know he has psychological problems because no one in their right mind bites someone in the biggest game of their career, when they have previously been in deep trouble for biting other players.

What happens to Suarez if he is booted out of the game he loves? Maybe you don't care, but what does it say about football, about us all, if we turn our back on an obviously troubled individual? Biting someone isn't nice, it shouldn't happen, but let's not turn this into the crime of the century. He hasn't seriously injured anyone (he's a crap biter, he doesn't even draw blood), he hasn't robbed owt, or mugged anyone, or raped them, or killed them, he's bitten them, summat that a young child would do. The troubling aspect of this isn't the bite mark on Chiellini's shoulder, not a pleasant experience, but he'll be reight, it's the fact that an adult keeps doing this kind of thing.

Playing another game in this world cup would be inappropriate and for Suarez there could be no bigger punishment. This is what he's worked his way towards all his life and it should now be taken away from him because of his own stupid actions. It will be a scar that lasts him the rest of his life. Most people will then call for further punishment, but I can't see what good that would do for anyone. Suarez needs help, if that involves time out of the game then all well and good, but if we carry on punishing him and continue to paint him as the devil we could well create a monster. A troubled individual needs help for committing bizarre but relatively mild crimes. Give me a bite on the shoulder rather than a two footed tackled through my knees any day of the week. That doesn't make it right, but it doesn't mean he should be hung either. He can't be allowed to do it again, but hitting him with a stick won't prevent it, it'll just make the animal more ferocious.

He should be banned from all competitions, domestic and international, for twelve months but he won't be, nothing will happen.

 

All very good if Suarez wants help. He has to want to change.
