Have both resigned after their failure at the World Cup. Where they both did better than England.

Come on Roy - do the decent thing.

They used to be gallant losers in the good old days. Now they're just losers.

Almost everyone I know said England weren't good enough to qualify but now want Roy sacking despite him playing the attacking football they wanted see & both defeats been narrow.

Football fans are an idiotic bunch

You most know a lot of idiots yourself if they all said England weren't good enough to qualify from a group where the next best team was Ukraine.

I meant qualify for the last 16.

We we're 3rd favourites for our group. Ivory Coast & Italy were both expected to qualify, we weren't

There isn't any manager in the World who could do better than Roy did with the players available to him.

We have a batch of good young players coming through but this WC came too early for them.

The time to get rid of Roy will be if we have a poor Euro Campaign.

Is their a better manager out there than Roy who hasn't a load of skeletons in the cupboard?

If any resignations or clear-outs are on the cards it should be far higher than Roy. The people right at the top are those responsible, those that, through the Premier League and obsession with money, have got football into such a state in this country.

The clubs pay huge salaries to attract the best players in the world to the UK, then we complain when these same players score against us and kick us out of the WC. Biting off your nose to spite your face.

Might save this post and bump it in November when we're 16th.

If, by November, Barnsley find themselves languishing in the bottom half of the table (16th for example) this BBS will be full of calls for the manager's head. Like every year. Dyson is suggesting that, maybe, the fault isn't with the manager, but rather higher up within the club, in a similar way that you have suggested the fault with English football does not lie at the door of Roy Hodgson. So he'll refer back to your post.

After listening to the utter nonsense that Roy came out with last night I'd be calling him to FA HQ the minute the plane lands.

Give over, his media team will tell him.

I really like Ben. Think his interviews have been good and he speaks very well when you get past the 'I was an agent'. Still to see any real impact of his work, though.

The £700,000 we got for Scott Golbourne? In the past we would have been lucky to get £150,000 for him.

We pissed it al up the wall like, on the January signings, but, other than Martin Woods, I was very excited about everyone we signed. It turned out to be a monumental **** up, but it certainly didn't seem like that at the time.

Yeah, fair enough. Has that been confirmed as the amount though? If we do only get £500k for O'Grady I reckon that evens it up.

I doubt either club has confirmed it, but it was widely reported as that amount. It shocked me because I don't think he was worth anything like that much.
