Seriously, if Suarez has bitten someone again, what should the sanction be?

He should get a ban of around 10 international games & we should all move on. Ban him & crack on with the football.

I can understand the fuss as a bites not the norm but I've seen a lot of people going over the top talking nonsense like year bans & life bans.

It's bad but it's no worse than a stamp, or a headbut.

The over reaction of football fans is ridiculous, we've got a World Cup coming up that's been bought, we've got issues with spot fixing, we've got a drug problem in the sport that noone's interested in sorting, we've got players in England convicted of rape & manslaughter via drink driving back playing yet something like this gets more headlines & attention than any of it.

It's a bit of a nibble on the shoulder, ban him & move on.

All the moral outrage is ridiculous. It's almost funny, he's become a pantomime villain with his big teeth & daft grin.

If you like swarthy, fat men in tight y-fronts and sporting greasy beards, he's definitely right up your street.

Take him to Mr Flowers, the dentist in Wombwell (is he still there?) and get him to pull out all his gnashers.
Suarez's teeth are too big to start with. Surprised he doesn't trip over them.

Life ban and nothing shorter. He has been caught doing the same disgusting act three times now and has been given two warnings so he needs banning for life for the safety of the other players. Who knows what diseases the filthy little ******* is carrying?

As someone earlier in this post said, if it were you or I we would be sent down for assault, or at least made to appear in court. Why won't FIFA sanction this type of action against him. It is a criminal offence but then again Blatter will get it all covered up.

Jay, exactly what punishment has already been carried out that will hurt him?????

As of yet nothing. Sorry but after his third attack on a footballer in three different countries he now needs a lifetime ban. Simple.

An animal which continually bites is muzzled.

That I'm afraid is the answer should he again take to the field of play.

I can't honestly believe some of you are talking about life bans, you've lost all sense of perspective.

It's not even the most controversial incident involving a Uruguayan this week.

The Perreira incident was far worse, the only talk of life ban's should be for the doctor that let him back on after he'd been knocked unconscious, now that's a proper controversy putting someone's life at risk.

I agree that a life ban is over the top but there has to be a severe punishment - he already had 2 bans and hasnt changed his behaviour I'd be looking at a ban from all football for the rest of the year and a 2 year international ban or something similar - Liverpool obviously shouldnt have to pay any wages whilst he is banned either but I doubt thats how it will work
I quite like the idea of forcing him to play in a gum shield as well but thats probably unworkable.

And I agree about the doctor what was he thinking that was just a stupid decision

Didn't he got against the doctors wishes? the doctor was quite visibly letting everyone know that he didn't think he should have continued and the player went nuts with him and started shouting that he was carrying on. Not sure if the doctor has any powers to stop him if the player and manager overrule him has he?

Life ban from me - my opinion is the same as Whitey's.

Footballers have a privileged lifestyle - they are paid extraordinary amounts of money to entertain us. The least they can do is behave with a certain amount of respect and credibility. These guys are the the idols of children across the country and worldwide. Suarez has bitten someone, not once, not twice but THREE times. The guy clearly has issues and is not going to learn. It is totally unacceptable for children to see a grown man (there hero's) biting people and for them to think it is in anyway remotely acceptable.

A life ban in this context is only really about 6yrs given his age. A premature end to his football career is probably what he deserves.
