It seems if you dont believe in God you must be mentally ill http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-28010234
In this case they may have a point. "I don't believe in God." "Right, we're going to do all sorts of 'orrible **** to you." "Did I say don't believe in God? Slip of the tongue, I meant to say I do. I think God is great. In fact, I'm just going to nip out now and do all sorts of Godly stuff. Don't wait up, I might be a while, there's a lot needs doing."
When the devil is on the lookout for people to convert to do his dirty work there are some religions that are more gullible than others. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I have always found south Asian people, either Muslim or Hindu, very gentle people. But................Everyday the BBC News is increasingly being dominated by Islamists. The news lasts for 30 minutes and it is interesting to see how much of that 30 minutes is being taken up my Islam - and increasingly so. Islam is becoming increasingly threatening and frightening to the rest of the people living in this world. Something serious is going to happen...........if it happens at a time when the western world, especially America is not dependent on middle eastern oil, then a leader in the Christian world (probably an American President) is going to say something on the lines of........'enough is enough, Islam is no longer tolerated'. At that point there will be another world war with the overwhelming power of the Christian world unleashed against Islam........there will only be one winner.........and that winner will not be Islam These stupid immature kids running about in the desert with their machine guns torturing and executing people need to understand where the power of the world lies
So, you're advocating using death and destruction because them using death and destruction is a bad thing?
It all part of the greater plan to make the ordinary man in the street who has had little or no contact with muslims feel fear. Fear of Islam. They only focus on extremists. It's not that long ago Christians were burning non believers or other Christian sects. Scare the people to death an we can control them. Was it Gobbles who said that.
I think homosexuality is punished with custodial sentences in the Christian part of Nigeria, so it's not really appropriate to get sneery about Islam in the country.
I nearly made a similar comment - especially as if you are an Aethiest what is there to lose by pretending you think there is a God I could understand it more when its the other way round when someone believes strongly in God that they might not want to deny it for fear of what happens in the afterlife but if you dont believe whats the point in taking the suffering now
Very much so. There is a media agenda around Islamaphobia - and a gross level of misreporting - you never hear anything positive about Islam, or for that matter rarely about religion in general. It is not unlike the tragic death of Leah Betts, when thereafter every ecstasy related death hit the headlines. It didn't matter at all that many many times more were dying from smoking or alcohol related deaths every year - the media wee absolutely he'll bent on terrifying parents that their kids were going to meet with pill related deaths, and a ridiculous amount of time was spent scaring kids. All the time this was happening (and I was a teenager at the time) all the kids were getting into cigarettes and boozing heavily. The treatment of Islam and Muslims in the media is not at all fair on the vast vast majority of peaceful, law abiding, tax paying, tolerant Muslims who go about their daily lives under an increasing degree of suspicion and scrutiny. This isn't to say that there isn't a threat from extremists - but when the troubles in Northern Ireland were at a height there wasn't the same blanket suspicion/animosity towards Irish people (even when bombs were going off in Brighton, Manchester and London). That's not a pop at the OP BTW - just my opinion.
Agreed, but he only told his parents, they then ask for him to be seen by a psychatrist! Who needs enemies when your family are like that?!
I've had another 8 hours in the company of muslim friends at work, and I've still not been converted, nor have I felt threatened, and religion wasn't one of our conversational topics today. We discussed Luis Suarez' biting, England's draw, Wimbledon, the cost of living, and generally took the piss out of one another, as you do, in order to get through another boring days work. Evil basterds they are.
