    I've just learnt that 2 UKIP candidates at the local elections have a property business in the Canary Islands selling apartments. So, they don't think we should be in the EU but happy to make money out of the benefits of being in the EU!

    There wouldn't be the freedom of trade or the same freedom of movement for them to do business or for Brits to buy property there.

    Our local chip shop magnet Mr wood was a ukip candidate and spent 24 years living and working in Spain. There's 5 million brits living in a country with unemployment currently running at 20%. Send em back!

    Eh ? So they'd stop folk buying properties ? Try and reduce tourism ?

    Behave yourself. I think Brits also buy properties in non EU countries.

    absolutely spot on,having apartments in the canaries has **** all to do with the EU.

    plenty of british and other nationalities have property all over the world that's also nothing to do with the eu.

    Not ignorance at all - they are pure hypocrites. It would be far harder for Brits to live in Spain if we weren't in the EU - that's a fact.

    But for these it's a case of do as I say, not as I do.

    Just another thing in my bank for if they should visit prior to election.

    brits were travelling to and living in spain donkeys years before even the common market let alone the EU.

    Not to the same numbers at all.

    But therefore, using your logic, if we come out of the EU it will make no difference to Poles and Romanians etc coming here then, so just why are UKIP wanting us to come out?
